Server Room Circuit
1 comment
I was called in to run a dedicated 20-amp circuit to a server room—essential for keeping critical equipment on isolated, stable power. The job required navigating a tight, already crowded electrical panel setup filled with EMT runs.
Due to space constraints and routing challenges, I opted to run MC (metal-clad) cable instead of bending additional conduit through the dense overhead layout. The MC allowed for a cleaner path, especially where access was limited between existing conduits. I made sure to keep the install tight and code-compliant, anchoring it neatly alongside the rest of the runs.
The circuit terminates at a receptacle in the server room, providing a reliable and dedicated power source for sensitive IT infrastructure. Another solid day keeping things powered and protected behind the scenes.
