Winter has arrived, and it has also come to Animal Crossing. Our island is covered in snow, and all the villagers are wearing their warmest winter clothes. Hello friends, welcome to a new Animal Crossing Blog! Today we’ll spend a pleasant winter afternoon on our island, together with our neighbors and doing many different activities. Let’s begin!

El invierno ha llegado y también llegó a Animal Crossing. Nuestra isla se ha llenado de nieve y todos los habitantes visten sus más abrigadas ropas de invierno. Hola amigos, bienvenidos a un nuevo Blog de Animal Crossing. Hoy pasaremos una agradable tarde de invierno en nuestra isla, acompañada de nuestros vecinos y haciendo muchas actividades distintas. ¡Comenzamos!

And since we can’t be out of tune with these days and we don’t want to catch a cold, the best thing will be to change into warm winter clothes. Our white hat, jeans, snow boots, cozy socks, and our bag to keep the treasures we find throughout the day. The jewel of our outfit will be that beautiful knitted sweater with an autumn design—very cute and very warm.

Y como no podemos desentonar con estos días y no queremos refriarnos, lo mejor será que cambiemos nuestras ropas a abrigadas ropas de invierno. Nuestro gorro blanco, jeans, botas para la nieve, calcetines cálidos y nuestra bolsa para guardar los tesoros que encontremos a lo largo del día. La joya de nuestra vestimenta será ese bello suéter de punto con diseño otoñal, muy lindo y muy abrigado.

As we step outside our house, we find that the ground and the area near the tree trunks are covered with newly grown mushrooms. They’re very beautiful and come in great variety. We can’t miss this opportunity that nature gives us, so we’ll collect them and later use them in various DIY projects. We can also gift them to our neighbors, who will surely enjoy them.

A la salida de nuestra casa nos encontramos que todo el suelo y cerca de los troncos de los árboles han crecido nuevos hongos. Son muy bonitos y tienen gran variedad. No podemos desaprovechar esta oportunidad que nos da la naturaleza, así que los recolectaremos y más tarde los usaremos en distintos proyectos de bricolaje. Además, se los podremos regalar a nuestros vecinos, que seguro lo disfrutarán mucho.

And the second big discovery is a fossil—right beneath an X mark on the ground, there it is. I wonder what part it is and what kind of prehistoric animal it belonged to. Our museum is almost complete, so it’s common for these to be fossils we’ve already discovered before. Even so, it’s hard to shake off the excitement. As soon as I get a chance, I’ll take it to Blathers so he can analyze it at the museum and give us an answer that clears up all our doubts.

I also went to check on my pumpkin patch. It’s a very good source of steady Bell income, and watering and harvesting them is an activity that brings me joy and keeps me busy. Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean we won’t have a good pumpkin harvest. For some reason, two pumpkin variants have grown in my patch. Later on, I might expand it and add other crops.

También fui a revisar mi sembrado de calabazas. Es una muy buena fuente de ingresos de bayas constantes; además, regarlas y cosecharlas es una actividad que me alegra mucho y me mantiene ocupado. Que sea invierno no quiere decir que no tendremos una buena cosecha de calabazas. Por alguna razón han crecido dos variantes de calabaza en mi sembrado. Más adelante quizás aumente su tamaño y coloque otros cultivos.

I took advantage of being near some neighbors’ house and stopped by to say hello. We played some music and enjoyed a while chatting about the latest news and gossip from the island.

Aproveché que estaba cerca de la casa de unos vecinos y entré a saludar. Ahí pusimos un poco de música y disfrutamos un rato contándonos las últimas novedades y chismes de la isla.

And a day in Animal Crossing isn’t complete without seeing what’s biting, so with rod in hand I headed to the nearest lake. As I got closer, I saw the silhouette in the water and didn’t hesitate to cast my fishing rod. Now we wait! And...

So much fishing made me feel tired, so I sat down in a rocking chair just to watch the snowflakes fall and enjoy a moment of peace while seeing some neighbors go about their daily tasks.

Tanto pescar hizo que me sintiera cansado, me senté en una mecedora simplemente a contemplar los copos de nieve caer y disfrutar de un momento de paz mientras veía algunos vecinos pasar en sus tareas diarias.

Now it’s time to show what I was talking about at the beginning of the afternoon: how well my neighbors dress during winter. Each one has their own unique and personal style. They not only wear beautiful colors but also stay very warm. The most important thing in winter is to keep warm to avoid catching a cold, but also to look fabulous.

Ahora es momento de mostrar lo que estaba contando al inicio de la tarde: lo bien que visten mis vecinos durante el invierno. Cada uno tiene su estilo único y personal. I love the stone bridge on my island. It’s not only a beautiful place but also one that conveys peace and serenity, like a scene from a Ghibli movie.

We have an unexpected visitor at our island’s campsite, and of course we have to go say hello!

Among the flowers I find two beautiful surprises that make my day even happier: a gorgeous monarch butterfly and an elegant bright green praying mantis. I just hope Blathers doesn’t get too scared when I show them to him.

Entre las flores encuentro dos bellas sorpresas que me hacen el día aún más feliz: una hermosísima mariposa monarca y una elegante mantis religiosa muy verde. Espero Sócrates no se asuste cuando se las enseñe.

The sea is very calm today. Even though I don’t feel like diving, I enjoy simply being at the edge of the pier, contemplating it. I love the sea!

The next stop of the day was the museum. There, Blathers will not only see our insects but also examine our fossils to check if we have new specimens for the museum. The visit lasted a bit longer because I decided to look at the aquariums and the ancient fish I had captured. I took these beautiful photographs there for the memory album.

La siguiente parada del día fue el museo. Ahí Sócrates no solo verá nuestros insectos, sino que también examinará nuestros fósiles para ver si tenemos nuevos especímenes para el museo. La visita al museo se alargó un poco porque decidí ver los acuarios y los antiguos peces capturados. Ahí me tomé estas hermosas fotografías para el álbum de recuerdos.

Now it’s straight to the shop to see how much profit we made today. We’ll sell some fossils we had from the museum, a few fish, our pumpkins and oranges, and other fruits we collected throughout the day.
