Dear community, we continue to make progress with our Christmas plans at home, and as is tradition, it's time to start painting.

I started painting the children's room on Sunday and rearranging some of the wall decorations to give it a new look.

I started by scraping off the mold that had formed near the floor. Since it was brown and had a silky sheen, I applied a coat of white primer so that the new paint would adhere well and it wouldn't be so difficult to cover the dark color.

I waited for the white paint to dry and began to apply a coat of the final color, which according to the brand is called greige white but is almost the same as Solintex ivory.

I used a combination of that shade on one long wall and left the remaining walls white.

As you can see in the image below, the room was in desperate need of a paint job 🤭🤭. If you have young children and your room doesn't look like this after a year, please tell me your secret 🤣🤣.

I have to say I felt cheated with the paint. I knew it wasn't the best, but in previous years I've used cheap paints and they've lasted much longer. I don't know if this brand is sold in your area, but it's called Vencolor.

Little by little, I finished painting, and since the room isn't very big, I cleaned and put the beds in place as I finished each side until I finished the entire room.

I thought it would take much less time to do this task, but it took me a little over half a day. However, I took advantage of the time to thoroughly clean the entire room and leave it tidy.

This week I have to buy paint for the living room and kitchen, but I haven't decided on the color yet and I'm looking to see if I can find the Maxigama brand nearby, which has worked wonders for me.

Querida comunidad seguimos avanzando en los planes navideños en nuestra casa y como es tradición llegaron los meses de pintar.

Empecé pintando el cuarto de los niños el día domingo y haciendo algunos cambios de lugar de los adornos de pared para darle una vista nueva.

Comencé raspando las conchas que genera la humedad cerca del suelo y como tenía un color marrón y además brillo de seda le di una capa blanca para que se pegará bien la nueva pintura y no le costará tanto tapar el color oscuro.

Espere que secara la pintura blanca y comencé a dar una capa del color final que según la marca se llama blanco greige pero es casi igual al marfil de solintex.

Hice una combinación de ese tono en una pared larga y las paredes restantes en blanco.

Cómo pueden ver en la imagen que viene a continuación la pintada del cuarto era más que necesaria 🤭🤭 y quién tenga hijos pequeños y su cuarto no queda así luego de un año díganme el secreto 🤣🤣.

Les cuento que me sentí estafado con la pintura, sabía que no era la mejor pero en años anteriores he utilizado pinturas económicas y me han rendido mucho más. No sé si está marca la vendan en su zona pero se llama vencolor.

Poco a poco fui terminando de pintar y como el cuarto no es muy grande fui terminando un lado fui limpiando y colocando las camas en su puesto hasta que termine el cuarto completo.

Pensé que iba a demorar mucho menos en realizar está tarea pero me tomo un poco más de medio día, eso sí aproveche de limpiar a fondo todo el cuarto y dejarlo bien ordenado.

Ya está semana me toca comprar la pintura de la sala y la cocina pero todavía no he decidido el color y estoy buscando ver si consigo cerca la marca maxigama que esa si me ha funcionado de maravilla.
