I defeated a 2200 player in Lichess

Hello there, and welcome to the blog of @southgamer, where I love to talk about the games I play and my experience while playing them. Chess is one game I find interesting, but I do not play that often because I am not good at it. I might try to get some basic moves, and if I am lucky enough, I might play some strong moves without knowing it.
I think you could refer to me as one of those players who play some moves without thinking deeply about the move I just made and its repercussions. Today, on my way back from work, I opened my Lichess account and I saw the inbox message from @stayoutoftherz about the HiveChess Team battle.
Although it was too late when I joined, about 17 minutes towards the end, and with what I could see, the Blockchain Team where doing pretty well, holding on the second spot.
This shows that there are some pretty strong chess players on Hive, and I should be expecting some whooping of my ass when I get to play them in an online tournament. This will not be easy, as I am still figuring things out on the board.
I do not know much about openings, and I have never been one to emphasize a particular opening, because I enjoy the mystery of finding out what my opponent will play or how they might respond to my move. This alone could take them off their seat or throw them off their game. Sadly, it doesn't work for me all the time like it does for the only popular chess player I know, Magnus Carlsen. In this game, the other berserker, which I found out is a form of playing with less time in exchange for more points when you win. I have also realized that higher-rated players do this to lower-rated players, especially during a tournament. So I guess I am not surprised when my opponent berserked me since the rating points difference is about 271 points. I think this is why he went for the berserk option, but it did not favour him since he wasn't playing well, all because he was playing fast not to flag. His moves were not strong since he could not think deeply, and he fell for an attack from my pawn, which attacked two of his pieces. It was fun to play, and moving forward, I will be playing more HiveChess events. Hopefully on my way back from work. I am @southgamer. Try gaming and thank me later. The game
