Get me on the Deluxe taxi!

Of course I had it in mind to write a review on this masterpiece but thanks to the prompt, I get to write it sooner.
The first Korean drama I enjoyed this year???

Taxi driver just happens to be the only one I've watched thus far and you bet I enjoyed it. I binged this three seasoned series of 16 episodes each, on the first day of January, the very moment I downloaded it .
Staring at my invisible and neverending kdrama to-watch list, picking out a series to watch turned out to be harder than I imagined so I sought for one outwith my list.
Viola!... I spotted Taxi driver(3) specifically, amongst the latest releases towards the end of last year.

You won't blame me for thinking that "3" was part of the title cause I've never heard of the movie prior to that day. Not until I popped into Movie box app and oops... turned out it was the third season of the series!
Taxi driver, based on a webtoon of the same name and acted to utmost perfection starring Lee Jehoon as Kim Do-gi, Pyo Hye-jin as Ahn Go-eun, Kim Eui-sung as Jang Sung-chul, Jang Hyuk-jin as Choi Kyeong-goo and Bae Yoo-ram as Park Jin-eon, amongst other actors... is a crime, action-packed, thriller, drama released in 2021 with the subsequent seasons following suit.

In a country which serves as a solid foundation for all sorts of criminal activities ranging from substance abuse, murder, human exploitation, frauds and the likes, our hero/ revenge team pops up, presently the opportunity to exert revenge on the perpetrators on behalf and on the request of the victims.
Following through the plot, each victim of ill act and injustice who boards the Rainbow Deluxe taxi, shares his story and eventually seeks to avenge his injustice becomes a passenger.

Kim Eui-sung as Mr Jang is the brain behind this mind-blowing operation. He's both the CEO of Bluebird foundation, a charity home which takes in and caters for the less privileged and victims of crime, as well as the Rainbow taxi company, which he took over from his father.
His age notwithstanding, he all but delivered his role beautifully much to a point that I was forced to take back my words about him being too old for the storyline.

Hyuk-jin and Yoo-ram as Mr Choi and Park respectively are the two mechanics of the taxi company, never ceasing to notch up the deluxe taxi with breathtakingly unexpected features which all but became lifelines for the driver on the precipice of death.
And their dramatic drop-ins to the movie had me laughing so hard my cheeks began to hurt. Two cheesy fellows but their determination, bond and understanding to each other knows no bounds.

In the person of the taxi company's typewriter equally playing the role of the team's digital guru is Hye-jin as Go-eun. The only female in the crew. Beautifully harsh but an ace in front of systems.
When those pretty fingers of hers are literally flying on the keyboard, her lips moving in sync with an information, you could hear a pin drop cause nobody else dares to make a sound, lol.

Jehoon as Driver Kim is the lead actor and the team's executionist who played his role smoothly like he was born for it.
From acting as a teacher to a white collar jobber, shaman, security guard, studio manager... which were required during the course of providing their services, though fighting his way through the perpetrators and near death experiences with the background support of his team, he nailed it all!
Did I mention he has a face charming to make one's day?.. grins. Though how he's pretty quick to morph his expression from silly and dumb to dead serious baffled me to the very end.

And one thing they all had in common - lost their loved ones to crimes and no justice served.
The movie portrays the situation of things in the daily lives of ordinary people who are left helplessly at the mercy of evil officials and their fellow heartless citizens.
Taxi driver made me squeal, cry, laugh, shudder gap... Definitely worth my watch!!!
