Frozen Lake

The lake finally was tested to be safe for ice skating.

It has been cold and snowy for the past week with the lake turning solid white.

Then it warmed up melting the snow on the surface.

Then the next day it got super cold again making the ice nice and smooth.

Local hockey players like to dump warm water on the ice as well to get an even smoother surface.

Most the families that live right next to the lake bring their kids out to skate.

Some even brought their dogs out on the ice to tow them. This is dangerous as the pups are fast and end up tripping the skater and they end up getting dragged.

As for me and my wife we are not good skaters at all. But maybe my daughter can take a couple lessons when she is older to take advantage of the lake. We'll see, that's all for now. Thanks for looking :-)
