“Trying To Set The Night On Fire!”😳
I was just starting my hike, when Keith pulled up along side me in his Volvo pulling a trailer………….
“Silvertop, are you getting any of the ash from the fires down at your place?”😮
“I was outside splitting firewood Keith, and I thought I was seeing things………..
Ash was floating in the air in my backyard!”😳
The loggers have just started burning the large piles of scrap wood that they have piled up like mountains!
Keith was on his way to pick up a trailer load of firewood for his wood stove…………….
“How much firewood do you have Silvertop?”😇
“Well…. I was splitting some free wood from another neighbor Will up the road, but just counting split and stacked I have 17 cords!”☺️
“SEVENTEEN CORDS……. You could sell some of that wood, I’ll keep you in mind next year Lol!”🤣
Split firewood in the Northwest, is like money in the bank, or should I say, like Bitcoin in cold storage Lol!☺️
“Never sell your Bitcoin/ Firewood, it’s going up forever Lol!”😇
It was interesting watching the tall flames whip back-and-forth in the wind!
They start this during the rainy season to hopefully be able to keep the very large fires under control!🙄
Although I have seen fires like this get out of control, it can happen very quickly!😬
I decided to hike up Keith’s almost two mile long driveway today, to see what color was left!
I was pleasantly surprised, the rain and wind didn’t take all the leaves just yet!😇
I met Keith once again, as I was headed down the Mountain on my way home….
“Silvertop, you’re been hiking a long time today! Do you have a nice warm fire waiting for you when you get home?”
“Not yet Keith, I set up some kindling, I will light the fire when I get home, and grab a Latte as well!”☺️
“We have a fire burning 24/7 Silvertop, of course we are a bit higher uphill by probably 250 feet Lol!”😇🤣
