Disney Classics for Three Tunes Tuesday

The majority of my music last year was themed at musicals and concept albums. It made me realize even more just how much I loved songs that had a deep meaning and themes.

This made me think back on musicals, all those I watched last year and the ones back, back to when I was still a little lad being bullied over the television choices by my sisters.

Then it clicked, some of my first ever interactions with musicals where Disney movies...
No not the new shows like "Wish" and "Moana 1&2" that had little to no emotional depth with their songs.

I'm talking of the peak before 2000's period when every scene was painted and every note in the songs were with intent and actually dragged out an emotion.
So I took a step back into my childhood and see what I'll choose....
Kiss The Girl ~ The Little Mermaid
When talking about songs from this movie everyone's mind immediately goes to Under The Sea by Sebastian without realizing that that wasn't his only mind-blowing performance.
I love it that voice actors where also beautiful musicians because Samuel E. Wright did wonders in this movie and his voice is remembered by thousands โif not millionsโ of little kids now old.
Gaston ~ Beauty and the Beast
This is another one of the princess shows with numerous beautiful numbers, from the iconics like Belle and the big numbers like Be our Guest.
Yet for me, this is one song which I fondly remember because of the silliness.
I hated Gaston's pride, but as you can see, he had a good reason to be prideful ๐
The Bells Of Notre Dame ~ Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Now this is a Disney show that isn't well know and is quite graphic. It's also not a Disney princess movie but the music is to die for.
It's one of those odd shows I just happened to come across and I'll tell you, since the first watch back then (probably around 2008-2010), this is a song that I can never forget and I'm sure as you listen, you wouldn't forget either.
And it's one of those OST's that's even better without the silly animation to distract you...
These are my entries for the first #threetunestuesday of 2026!
Let's take a step back eh...
I wonder if you've ever heard any of these @ablaze
