Libreoffice can save and open docx files, but complex formatting can get lost.
Microsoft 365 web based might serve you better if you want absolute compatibility.
Games you might have some luck running through proton hotfix with steam. Any graphics card that supports vulkan will run them better. (Rtx cards)
Anything older is hit and miss. Most that have multiplayer + don't run native are complex to set up.
Check out "protondb" + "AreWeAntiCheatYet" for what you can run + expect.
Use the older version of piper + it's dependencies for your gaming mice.
Look into flameshot for an amazing screenshot markup tool. Set it to your print screen button.
For anything more complex
Gimp with raw therapee + photogimp plugins make it read all kinds of camera files + fixes the interface.
Krita for drawing + frame by frame animation.
These dont quite go as deep as photoshop.
.ttf font files show up in most programs, install is same as windows. If you dont have the font installed, it wont show up in your document. Packages of fonts would be handy (haven't found these yet). Check out dafont + fontsquirrel for single free truetype font files.
Foxit is paid..?, i think firefox can do basic edits these days? (.pdf)
Try mission control for nice gui for monitoring hardware. Looks exactly like windows task manager with about the same accuracy. There might be better options.
Control actual hardware + fans through your bios. rgb can be done with openrgb if your hardware is supported.
