​Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you my visit to Colonia Tovar. It is the perfect place if you want to escape for a while from the hot weather, enjoy some delicious strawberries, and spend a totally different day. As soon as we arrived, I felt that fresh mountain air that clears your mind and recharges your energy.

We stopped at a place because it was cool and very beautiful. The best thing of all was that there was a bonfire and we were able to roast marshmallows. We also saw some people dancing a traditional German dance. After that, we took the chance to take this group picture on the swing with my brothers, my mom, and my aunt. It was a very, very pleasant moment of our little trip.

This restaurant enchanted us. It had an incredible view of the town, with the ceiling full of pink flowers. We took advantage of how calm the place was to relax, and I ordered a hot chocolate that was delicious. It came super well presented, with a marshmallow and a strawberry on top, all cute. Of course, we took advantage of the mirrors decorated with flowers to take some pretty pictures before leaving.

This little town is super special. It was founded by immigrants from Germany, and that is why all the buildings including the church called San Martín de Tours Parish have that architecture so different and beautiful.

It is incredible to see how they have maintained their traditions, their customs, and of course, their foods! It is impossible to come and not try the famous strawberries with cream.

The Wishing Well, which is called El Pozo de la Dicha, is something super typical of this town of German culture. I think it gives a very authentic touch to La Colonia Tovar.

Here they even have the flag of Germany. The grass and those gardens with red flowers on the hillside look spectacular.

The hydrangeas have soft colors, between pink and lilac. The best thing is the kitten taking a nap in the wooden cart.

¡Hola a todos! Quería compartirles mi visita a la Colonia Tovar. Es el lugar perfecto si quieres escapar un rato del clima caluroso, disfrutar de unas fresas deliciosas y pasar un día totalmente distinto. Apenas llegamos, sentí ese aire fresco de montaña que te despeja la mente y te recarga la energía.

Paramos en un sitio porque era chévere y bellísimo. Lo mejor de todo fue que había una fogata y pudimos asar malvaviscos. También vimos a unas personas bailando un baile tradicional alemán. Después, aprovechamos para tomarnos esta foto en grupo en el columpio con mis hermanos, mi mamá y mi tía. Fue un momento muy, muy agradable de nuestro paseíto.

Este restaurante nos encantó. Tenía una vista increíble del pueblo, con el techo lleno de flores rosadas. Aprovechamos lo tranquilo del lugar para relajarnos, y yo me pedí un chocolate caliente que estaba delicioso. Venía súper bien presentado, con un malvavisco y una fresa arriba, todo cute. Por supuesto, aprovechamos los espejos adornados con flores para tomarnos unas fotos bonitas antes de irnos.

Este pueblito es súper especial. Lo fundaron inmigrantes de Alemania, y por eso todos los edificios incluyendo la iglesia que se llama Parroquia San Martín de Tours tienen esa arquitectura tan diferente y bonita.

​Es increíble ver cómo han mantenido sus tradiciones, sus costumbres, y, claro, ¡sus comidas! Es imposible venir y no probar las famosas fresas con crema.

El Pozo de los Deseos, que se llama El Pozo de la Dicha es algo súper típico de este pueblo de cultura Alemana. Me parece que le da un toque demasiado auténtico a La Colonia Tovar.

Un par de fotos de nuestro paseo: el letrero en el mirador y esta exhibición de cervezas con mensajes divertidos.

Aquí hasta tienen la bandera de Alemania. El césped y esos jardines con flores rojas en la ladera se ven espectaculares.

Las hortensias tienen unos colores suaves, entre rosa y lila. Lo mejor es el gatito echándose la siesta en el carrito de madera.
