Journey to the Old Mosque: 1612 to the Present, It's Still Greeting

After a long hiatus from traveling due to hectic activities and routines, I finally took another step. This trip took me from East Java to one of Indonesia's westernmost provinces, Aceh - precisely in Pidie Regency. There, my gaze fell on a mosque that looked elegant with its distinctive blue dome.
This mosque is not only visually appealing, but also holds deep historical value-tracing the glory of Sultan Iskandar Muda since 1612.
If calculated, more than 4 centuries have passed since the mosque was built - the 5th century to be exact. However, the building still stands majestically and firmly, as if time cannot erode the constancy of its history. Seeing it immediately made my heart tremble, as if witnessing a silent witness to a long journey of civilization that remains alive to this day.

I started walking around, wanting to see more. Before arriving at the mosque, the first thing I notice is the well-organized road-smooth, clean and comfortable to walk on. The journey was smooth and uninterrupted, as if welcoming me to this historic place.
I arrived in a white car. On the way, I was running low on fuel, so I stopped at a gas station to fill up. There, I also saw many other motorcyclists and cars that were refueling, the atmosphere was quite crowded but still orderly.

As I started to arrive at the mosque, the road in front of it looked a little gloomy and a bit narrow, but it could still be passed quite safely because this road was indeed the entrance to the mosque area. I slowly drove on, enjoying the serene and meaningful surroundings.

Thank you for following my journey at the Blue Mosque. Although it was only a short stop, this old mosque full of history left an impression that cannot be described in thousands of words.
