Sports and etiquette

I have heard many claims that when it comes to sports there is no etiquette that we follow but is that the case? I was reading articles stating etiquette in career lifestyle but how much are the graduates aware of behavioral restriction when it comes to working in sports? Such questions filled my thought while I proceeded to work on them independently. So here it is.
What is etiquette? Is it limited to jobs and academic places or does it extend to other sectors too? Sports is widely under the category of the entertainment industry which is not considered a part of the business industry is what many may still conclude but that is unlikely the real case. Sports is alike another industry that aims to give career opportunities to many like-minded applicants.
About etiquette, I personally believe that each of us as individuals needs to have some sense of behavior no matter in which sector we work or communicate with others in. This is quite necessary for both personal and professional life. Etiquette from culture to culture may vary but however, when it comes to one single field of communication, etiquette stands as the primary glance of appearance that determines how an individual is perceived by others, the community, and by society.
So, considering sports as a career opportunity it is also a necessity to consider that it will too have some behavioral grounds which needs to be met. Here I am attempting to state a few specific guidelines which I have myself come across.
- Learn more about the sports you are in, or you like
 - Do not dominate nor exaggerate your skills or knowledge
 - Be professional even when it comes to talking, standing, movement gestures, etc.
 - Being overboard is not part of being professional
 - Be professional on and off the job
 - Be more private in your professional career life
 - Be confident but overconfidence is not promoted
 - Be more firm than humble
 - Learn to handle criticism than being offended
