Thailand Beaches — Cosy Beach (Pattaya)
After dropping my kid off at school today, I suddenly realized I had a rare luxury: a few free hours with absolutely nothing urgent to do. So I did what any reasonable person in Pattaya would do — I went to the beach. Not just to relax, but also to take some photos.
For my little escape, I chose Cosy Beach. It’s not the best beach in Pattaya, and definitely not the cleanest one either. But it is the closest to where I live, and sometimes convenience wins over perfection.

I rented a sunbed for 100 baht, unpacked my biggest lens, and started shooting. Let’s be honest — pointing a massive telephoto lens directly at people isn’t exactly polite. So most of the time I was shooting discreetly, almost like street photography from a distance. In a strange way, that actually made the photos better: more natural, more real, less posed.

What I enjoy photographing most on the beach are couples and people who clearly take care of themselves physically. These days, that’s becoming a bit of a rarity — which makes those moments even more interesting to capture.

One thing that surprised me again (and it surprises me every single time) is how many people are already almost black from the sun, yet continue to spend hours under the burning heat. It might look impressive, but it’s really not safe. Skin cancer, premature aging, and long-term skin damage are very real risks. The tropical sun is no joke, even if it feels pleasant in the moment.

Pattaya has a wide variety of beaches, and I visit many of them regularly. That got me thinking: why not turn this into a small blog series?
So here it is — a new section on my blog:
Thailand Beaches
And this is the very first entry:
Thailand Beaches — Cosy Beach
Right now, Thailand is in a great season with beautiful weather. If you have some free time and a bit of budget for travel, this is a perfect moment to come. Sun, sea, simple pleasures — you probably won’t regret it.
More beaches coming soon.

I write my texts myself, correct mistakes and translate via ChatGPT (which is not a violation on Hive)!
All photos were taken by me personally - I am a beginner photographer, so I ask professionals not to judge strictly.
Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays! ✌️.
