When Life Tested Me Faith Carried Me

When l was much younger l always think life is a matter of bed and roses until l grew older when l started facing challenges everytime that was when l realize that the life can be rough it can be smooth, today we laugh tomorrow we cry nothing is permanent.

Sometimes when things go wrong you may find it difficult to cope. You are not alone, many young people suffer from stress, depression and other mental and emotional health issues but if they don't tell you, you won't know because not everyone like sharing their problems. As far we are in this life we are bound to face challenges everytime it is inevitable we can't avoid it. l would love to my experience about how l face my ups and downs in life and how l was able to overcome it.

During my industrial training for one year l was able to work a little bit and gather some money with the hope of l won't lack anything resuming school. I was really happy that period because all the things l wasn't able to buy when l was broke l bought everything. All my mind was that the money in my account would last me for a long period of time. Until when l resumed my parents had some financial set back of which l didn't worry l fell back to the money, it sustained me for about 2 months before l knew it within the twinkle of an eye l became broke no one to help me. I called all the people l could reach they were giving me excuses and stories l didn't want to call anybody again because l felt it was no use no one would help me. So l decided to reach a man in my street that has been disturbing me for sometime l begged him to borrow me a little amount of money so l can pay for my dues otherwise l can't partake in tests.

This man told me openly that he has the money but he won't give it to me unless l follow me to a hotel that moment l cried and ask him a simple question if it were to be your daughter that is being treated like this how will you feel when you find out, that moment he didn't say a word he kept mute. The next minute he told me he has the money but he can't help me with it since l have refused to comply to his decision. That moment l went to my hostel and prayed that God should see me through after praying l stopped thinking about the situation l didn't let it way me down. Until one day l got a call from my dad that he just received some amount of money and l should send my account number that moment l was so happy and thanked God for seeing me through and that was how l was able to overcome the situation without getting depressed.

The lesson l learnt from my experience is that no matter the situation l find myself l should always pray because as far as l'm breathing l'm alive l continue to work hard and put my challenges in prayers there's hope. I would love to advice those people going through similar challenges, change your perspective, acknowledge the difficulties but remember that they will pass and practice gratitude.
