Make someone you love a pie. Make your favorite type. I know mine is apple pie with hints of cinnamon inside and out. Don't give them the whole pie though. Give them a slice. Something small enough to leave the hints of goodness behind. Large enough so they get the soft crunch contrast to let them slip into another universe. Find someone else you know. Repeat, repeat, repeat repeat repeat repeat and leave the last slice (or first slice) for yourself.

It wears one thin to do something for someone else out of duty or obligation alone or for the sole purpose of survival or necessity. Doing something that will benefit someone else for love? Or for pleasure or even for a laugh? That is pure gold and is rare for a reason. It is fun when it is unexpected.

And laughter being the hip of the soul where when it shakes it makes the belly giggle like jello.

That hip joins upper and lower. Your kindness joins the bliss of heaven with a potentially heavy heart. Angels could do the same but for you to get to this level of generosity in a way no one else is doing... lets just say someone will notice.

Someone who may just brighten your day just by being around. Benevolent spirits. Kind creatures may appear to bless you in ways you can't describe. A song could play that you loved but forgot was a favorite. And you listen to that song all day on infinite repeat.

That song, that makes your hips sway, keeps playing until you have it memorized and know at least two other harmonies to sing with it. The song after you dial back the volume becomes a trance inducing blur of sounds that brings up some things you hadn't thought of in a while. Some things to consider, and others to appreciate.

The freedom of these deeper things getting fished out brings this loosening of the shoulders. A "sigh" that relaxes the chest and you lean back into your chair or decide to go outside and lay in the grass.

The warm sun dancing across your skin and darting past herds of realized clouds shows, the universe has been handing you slices of goodness darting around painful moments all your life.

It doesn't give you the fullness. But a taste waking you in ways you forgot were alive. That taste reminds you of what you love and what makes you rise in the morning with confidence and optimism.

Sometimes the slices are a name, a photo, a memory, a kind gesture, a prayer, or someone thinking of you. Sometimes the universe puts a blessing on repeat so that you get a bigger message over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Slices of life that are so good. You say mmmmm and thank you.
You repeat in slices of thank you, thank you, thank you (for my beautiful hips), thank you, thank you (for these lips, wow), thank you so much.

Thank you for those quiet and hidden luxuries that don't cost a cent.
Thank you for the times I could borrow and times which I was lent
Thank you for the latent dream wisdoms like sleeping waking dew
Thank you for this heart mind and soul, and the help to love anew
Thank you for memories past and present, and future I do not see
Thank you for friendships a plenty and for my family
