Flip All, Hold Your Breath, and Hope for a Legendary

Greetings, Splinterlands warriors. How are you doing this week? May your cards stay healthy, your connection stable, and your emotions under control—because we all know that Brawl sometimes tests patience more than strategy.

Today I want to continue the story from yesterday’s post. About the results of the past few weeks of struggle in the Brawl arena, about Merit collected little by little, with the occasional complaint, but still carried through. And when that Merit finally touched 10,000, it felt like hearing the break bell after working overtime. It was time to open 5 Gladius Case Packs.

For me, a Gladius Case is unique. It’s not just a pack. It’s a reward for guild togetherness, for collective effort, for small victories that often go uncelebrated. So, as usual, before opening it, a prayer was still said. Short, simple, and very personal: hopefully this time it won’t be a dud.

Then I pressed the “Flip All” button.
There were 25 cards, flipped over, silent, keeping their secrets. The cards opened one by one, slowly, as if they wanted to test my already limited patience.

The early sequence felt… well, just like that. Common, Rare, with the occasional Epic passing by like a brief visitor. I almost considered this a pretty ordinary opening. Until then, near the end—around card number 16—the card trembled slightly.

A small vibration.
But with big meaning.

It was a sign that never lies: Legendary.

I paused for a moment. Took a breath. Asked myself, who’s coming this time? And when the card finally opened, there she was: TATIANA BLAYDE. Neutral. Two attacks. Firm, cold, and unmistakably “premium.”

This is my second copy of Tatiana Blayde. Unfortunately, it’s still not enough to level her up—I still need 1 more BCX. But even so, it felt like finding money in the pocket of an old jacket: it doesn’t change your life, but it definitely brightens your day.

Overall, here’s a recap of my Gladius Case opening results:

  • 6 Rare cards
  • 2 Epic cards
  • 1 Legendary card
  • 16 Common cards

From these results, my Gladius collection has clearly grown. Sure, not every card can be leveled up right away. But some are getting close to the threshold, and that matters. In the world of Splinterlands, hope is often born from the phrase “just a little more.”

There are two cards that immediately put an extra smile on my face.

The first is SARIUS. With the additional BCX this time, he officially reached level 5 and gained the Poison skill. With a mana cost of 3, this card becomes flexible, cheap, and deadly. Extra poison in the Fire element always has a special place in the heart—and in my lineup.

The second is RENELOR CLEAVER from the Water element. He leveled up and gained the Inspire skill. This Reach + Inspire combination makes him not just a backline fighter, but also a collective motivator. His teammates’ melee attacks get boosted, and that often makes the difference between a narrow loss and a convincing win.

Brawl teaches us that winning isn’t always about having the most expensive cards, but about collection readiness and understanding roles. And Gladius is its school.

As a closing note, a short piece of advice from me:
don’t rush to complain when opening packs, enjoy the process, and stay loyal to Brawl—because Gladius never betrays those who are patient.

See you at the next opening. May the card vibrations appear again.
