Greetings friends of Hive! I would like to share a little personal reflection on anxiety that I hope could be helpful to all of us.

I imagine that it also happens to you that we constantly reflect on the fact that we have learned to live as if in a new normality as a result of so many things that have happened worldwide in recent years. What was once normal and commonplace for us is no longer, and we have been forced out of our comfort zone again and again. Circumstances such as a deadly pandemic of which 5 years have passed and that has taken the lives of loved ones, armed conflicts in various parts of the world that threaten to unleash a third world war, rampant social and economic inequality that plagues countries, especially underdeveloped countries, afflicted by corruption and injustice; all this and more has come to affect us greatly at a collective and personal level.

The lives of many have changed in a drastic way, and these various stressful situations have brought terrible physical and emotional consequences. One of these consequences is anxiety, a scourge that has become more fashionable than ever and is taking over people's minds.

The levels of anxiety that people of different ages and social strata have been experiencing are immense, and I’m no exception. Sometimes, for periods, it happens to me that seeing and thinking about so many negative news of events that are in full development don’t allow me to rest even at night, it is as if my mind keeps turning around these problems, and the next day I wake up very tired, without energy, and this ends up affecting my day to day. Some might say it's just a matter of stopping watching this news and disconnecting from the whole situation, but it's not as easy as it seems.

There are some tools that can be helpful in these cases. At least for me it has helped me to maintain a good communication with God, meditation and introspection are also helpful. I believe that, without necessarily becoming neither religious nor mystic people, unless we choose to do so, it is important to nurture our mind and spirit. We can look for alternatives to calm stress, conciliating inner peace and harmony. These options can be listening to relaxing music or music of our preference, reading a good book, making crafts that entertain our mind, doing some physical exercise, practicing an art as in my case music, all this can be very therapeutic.

I hope we can continue reflecting and sharing useful alternatives and experiences to try to get out of so many stressful and anxious situations that we live in today's world. Thank you for joining me here. I wish you a day full of positive energy and optimism.
