EPL mid season

Fans are already speculating who will win the EPL title this season. It is still premature to predict the league winner but signs have emerged on who may fight for the coveted title. Arsenal are definitely one of the favourites as they managed to widen the gap between the second placed Man City. The gap is big but is not big enough to make decisions. The other teams are capable enough to fill the gap and win the league.

The stand out teams this season in the league are Newcastle United, Fulham, Brighton and Brentford for sure. It is because they managed to maintain themselves in a striking position to win the title or at least fight for the champions league position. Newcastle’s journey makes sense as they have found new funds pouring in for them. Whereas, the other teams managed to create a solid football club within the financial means they had. Brighton is playing amazing football without the stars as Brentford.

Will these teams go on to win the league? Maybe not but they also proved that boards need to look into grooming players and making a team out of players instead of buying in super star players.

Let’s see how stories unfold in the remaining games in 2023 but it will be a wild ride for sure.
