Recommendations: Netflix, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime.

Today I would like to bring you something different, recommending a series on each of the streaming services that I mainly use: Netflix, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime. Hulu, other major competitors like HBO Max, are not available so I cannot speak properly, since to use them in this region you need a VPN and that affects the integrity of the experience, therefore I prefer not to use them until they arrive. officially, however I also understand that they are a source of great series and movies.

Netflix: American Vandal

At the time I write this post, there are two seasons of American Vandal on Netflix, it is a brilliant mockumentary series that pokes fun at crime shows and serial killers in America. Both seasons in anthology form follow two high school crime cases.

In technical terms, American Vandal is an excellent series, a subtle and effective parody of many other documentaries that Netflix itself produced. The seasons are short and fun, you won't regret it.

Amazon Prime: Fleabag

Fleabag is a beautiful series that is about many things and at the same time very few, we follow the story of a girl with a slight addiction to sex while she deals with the ghosts of her past. Fleabag is full of charismatic and funny characters, it makes you suffer, laugh and cry in almost equal amounts.

For many, its second season is one of the best pieces of contemporary television that has been produced and it is not difficult to see why, with a fairly fast pace and punchy dialogue there is not a second of this series that goes to waste.

Disney Plus: The Mandalorian

Although it is a bit unnecessary to say it at this point in the story, the spin off of the Star Wars franchise exclusive to Disney plus is one of the best-produced adventure series in all of history, technically marvelous and with a fairly marked episodic format, there's something endearing about Mando's story alongside Baby Yoda ... with a mix of western and sci-fi (or space opera, to be more exact) The Mandalorian won our hearts week after week on Disney Plus.

There is something of value even for non-fans of the franchise, the episodes are short and paced very well, it's really worth it.

Netflix: American Vandal

En el momento que escribo este post existen dos temporadas de American Vandal en Netflix, es una brillante serie con formato de falso documental que se burla de los programas de crímenes y asesinos seriales en Estados Unidos. Ambas temporadas en forma de antología siguen dos casos de crímenes cometidos en escuelas secundarias.

En términos técnicos American Vandal es una serie excelente, una parodia sutil y efectiva de muchos otros documentales que la propia Netflix produjo. Las temporadas son cortas y divertidas, no se arrepentirán.

Amazon Prime: Fleabag

Fleabag es una serie hermosa que va de muchas cosas y al mismo tiempo de muy pocas, seguimos la historia de una chica con una leve adicción al sexo mientras lidia con los fantasmas de su pasado. Fleabag está llena de personajes carismáticos y divertidos, te hace sufrir, reír y llorar en cantidades casi iguales.

Para muchos su segunda temporada es una de las mejores piezas de televisión contemporánea que se han producido y no es difícil ver por qué, con un ritmo bastante rápido y diálogos punzantes no hay un segundo de esta serie que se desperdicie.

Disney Plus: The Mandalorian

Aunque es un poco innecesario decirlo a estas alturas del cuento, el spin off de la franquicia Star Wars exclusivo para Disney plus es una de las series de aventura mejor producidas de toda la historia, maravillosa desde lo técnico y con un formato episódico bastante marcado, hay algo entrañable en la historia de Mando al lado de Baby Yoda... con una mezcla de western y ciencia ficción (U ópera espacial, para ser más exacto) The Mandalorian se ganó nuestros corazones semana tras semana en Disney Plus.

Hay algo de valor incluso para los que no sean fan de la franquicia, los episodios son cortos y tienen muy buen ritmo, de verdad vale la pena.
