Slipknot – The End, So Far (2022). METAL ALBUM REVIEW

I am glad that you came into my blog, which I rarely update with entries. Thank you! And I propose to immediately go to the essence of my publication.
Favorite group of millions Slipknot on September 30 presented a new release "The End, So Far".
If you don't agree with me, you can disagree, however, this is a significant event in the world of heavy music, which could not remain in the shadows.
The seventh studio work of the "Nine" is a kind of continuation of the album "We Are Not Your Kind", which made a lot of noise among fans and critics in 2019. By the way, the style of the new work varies greatly. Mainly because of its gloom and unprecedentedness. This unique experimental material is a slash restart of everything the band has done before.
Although ... here I made a reservation. Remember 2004 and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)"? "The End, So Far" is a work that went in approximately the same direction. Almost three decades into their career, Slipknot is making it clear they have something to say to the world.
Let me quote Corey Taylor:
It's really deadly. It's darker than the last album, but it has a ton of melodies. It has so many textures and layers. The heavy material has an attack, but also a lot of great melodies. I'm glad people will hear it.
Yet again. I don't want to break down every song on the tracklist as they are all very different, melodic, melancholy and heavy (each in its own way).
I didn't like the released singles at first, but in conjunction with the rest of the compositions, it sounds rich and furious. And not at all like before. Let's say a new stage of evolution. Another branch.
Have you been waiting for the return of "Iowa"? So you are not a Slipknot fan. I do not want to offend you, but those who follow the work of these madmen know very well that they do not have a single studio work that would be similar to the previous ones.
I definitely recommend listening to "The End, So Far". You will return to this recording more than once and with each listening you will feel new layers and textures. You will see for yourself.
