The economic situation in the country has been complicated, which is why birthday celebrations were significantly reduced this year compared to other times. However, my cousin invited us to little Camilo's party, who was turning one, and of course, we said yes. The party would be at a beach house with a pool, and the theme was Plim Plim the clown and his friends.
We got ready and went in beach attire for the pool. Alma would be the first to put on her swimsuit; she was very excited because she loves the water. When we arrived and she saw the children in the water, she didn't hesitate to run to where the action was.
I looked for the table assigned to us, we sat down, and immediately took little Alma to enjoy the pool, accompanied by her godmother and grandmother, who looked after her at all times. The party was enlivened by an entertainment company, with dancers, cheerleaders, and sound.
From the moment we arrived, we could feel the children's excitement. We sat down to wait for the appetizers and, of course, to congratulate the birthday boy, give him his gift, and share this birthday with the family. The hours passed to the beat of Vaca Lola and her entire repertoire, mixed with electronic music and reggaeton.
As evening fell and night approached, the entertainers organized games to give out prizes to the children. The difficult part here was getting them to participate, as no one wanted to get out of the pool to name fruits and animals. This turned out to be very funny because the entertainers were losing patience with the children's apathy.
Once little Alma got out of the pool, it was getting dark by then, so we dried her off and changed her. Snacks came and went, tequeños, hot dogs, empanadas, mini pizzas, soft drinks, and a variety of other snacks paraded across our table. The balloons danced while the children ran around and the adults ate.
I liked the celebration; it was very emotional because the organizers' faces reflected the sacrifice they had made to make this event happen. Although little Camilo spent most of the time sleeping peacefully in his car, when he woke up, we moved on to the birthday song and cutting the beautiful cake, as well as handing out party favors and enjoying a delicious dish of rice and chicken. We had a great time, little Alma enjoyed the party from start to finish, and we appreciated every smile on her face.

Cuando caía la tarde y se aproximaba la noche, las animadoras organizaron juegos para repartir premios a los niños, lo difícil acá fue la participación ya que nadie quería salir de la piscina para decir nombres de frutas y animales. Resultó muy gracioso este acontecimiento porque las recreadoras estaban perdiendo la paciencia ante la apatía de los niños.
Una vez que la pequeña Alma salió de la piscina, estaba anocheciendo para entonces, la secamos y cambiamos. Pasapalos iban y venían, tequeños, perros calientes, empanaditas, mini pizzas, refrescos y una diversidad de snacks desfilaron por nuestra mesa. Los globos eran los que bailaban mientras los niños corrían y los adultos comían.
Me gustó la celebración, fue muy emotiva porque en el rostro de los organizadores se reflejó el sacrificio por sacar adelante este evento. Si bien el pequeño Camilo pasó la mayor parte del tiempo durmiendo plácidamente en su coche, cuando despertó, pasamos a la ceremonia de cantar cumpleaños y picar la hermosa torta, además de repartir los cotillones y degustar un delicioso plato de arroz con pollo. Pasamos un buen rato, la pequeña Alma disfrutó de principio a fin la fiesta y nosotros agradecimos cada sonrisa en su cara.
