Conclave Arcana Splinterland's: New abilities review and strategy to use them.
At this juncture we have almost come to the halfway mark of the presale, and I already explained in my last post that for the current Conclave Arcana Presale, chase is real
for the Black Foil cards. This is the one part of the story but for the battles. it will be the ability and the good execution strategies that will help in winning the battles. Good cards does help in winning the battles, but without a good strategy, they also cannot help to get the desired result.
Though all the new abilities are revealed though, but not the stats of all cards are revealed. So we will focus on possibility of using the ability for a specific scenario and let's check if it matches with any of the previous abilities.
1. Painforge
Painforge's ability helps in getting +1 power when damaged by Poisoned or Burning or hit by an ally. With this ability , now it is going to be interesting contest that should I use "Deflect" to prevent myself from blast or use "Painforge" to get hit by blast and increase my Power. Same decision need to be taken between "Immunity" and the "Painforge" in the battles going forward.
2. Reckless
Reckless causes each successful attack to deal 1 damage to adjacent allied units. I think it look good but isn't is something similar to "Blast"? Since blast do half of the max damage to the adjacent unit while "Reckless" do only one, it look Reckless is not use ability. but wait , we have abilities like "Deflect" that are anti to Blast but as of now, no anti "reckless" ability is in view.
3. Bloodline Tribute
In Bloodline Tribute, when defeated, all allied units of the same bloodline gain +1 health, speed, and armor and +1 power to each shared attack type. I guess with this ability cards player will create team of same bloodline and attack type and pray that this card is to be the first to be defeated. Resurrect it and get it again defeted first. Frankly speaking , this is one of the ability where I expect very innovative use of it by players and look like this single ability will be able to determine the whole course of the battles.
4. Resurgence
Resurgence will Self-resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn. Deals 1 physical damage to all units. I guess it's something that is already available with the Runi cards. It is interesting to see the stats of cards that have this ability so that card can be positioned strategically to get the benefit for this ability. Just wonder , if card have "Martyr" ability along with "Resurgence" ?
5. Final Rest
In Final Rest, Allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat cannot activate. I guess this is very crucial ability in the small mana matches. Do you remember the "Redemption" battle where the player, who did able to attack once , won the the battle due to trigger of "Redemption" when it card defeated. Clever use of multiple ""Waeken" and "Redemption in low mana battle performed this trick. With "Final Rest" ability, it will be RIP to the "Waeken" + "Redemption" combination trick, or we can say at least we have protection against this trick now.
