Noble Words : The lack of money is the root of all evil.

There is a popular saying "being born poor is fate but dying poor is a choice". It suggests that while an individual's circumstances at birth are not their fault, their ultimate financial status later in life is a result of their own choices and actions. Living in poverty is considered to be worst past of a life. To highlight the plight of a poverty life, Sanskrit says ;

अविद्यं जीवनं शून्यं दिक्शून्यं चेदबान्धवा |

पुत्रहीनं गृहं शून्यं सर्वशून्या दरिद्रता||

Avidym jeevanam shoonyam dikshoonyam chedbaandhavaa.
Putraheenam gruham shoonyam sarvashoonyam daridrataa.

Avidyam = foolish, uneducated.
Jeevanam = life.
Shoonyam = empty, void, cipher.
Dikshoonyam = without any direction.
Chedbandhavaa = chet + baandhavaa.

Putraheenm = without any son.
Gruham = home, household.
Sarvashoonyaa = completely empty, devoid of every thing.
Daridrataa = poverty.

i.e. The life of a foolish person is as empty as a void, and the life of a person without friends and relatives is directionless. The life of a childless householder is also as empty as a void. But poverty deprives a person of all things and possibilities.

By citing the different examples whose absence may trigger unhappiness, but poverty is considered to be a major set back in person life. Poverty presents significant and extensive challenges for individuals and communities worldwide. It can mean a constant struggle for essentials like adequate food, clean water, safe housing, and proper clothing. can lead to increased vulnerability, insecurity, and social exclusion, affecting a person's sense of dignity and mental well-being. Poverty creates a cycle of deprivation that affects nearly every aspect of life, from physical health and well-being to opportunities for personal and societal advancement.
