(ENG/SPA) Conversation with the Devil: Stephen King, Interview Review

Greetings Spooky Zone Community, recently I have been reviewing aspects of the film The Shining and delved even deeper into those details hidden from a point of view of Terror, which are beyond what is the film but are born thanks to the dark charm of that story that has reached a larger audience by the sound and visual power in images of film and television.

With this search in mind, I pleasantly came across an interview that Letterman conducted with the great Stephen King, who is the dark mind that wrote the basis in the book of what would later be the inspiration for this filmic work that has had such an impact on me.

Conversing with the Devil is a new section in my channel where I will analyze and give my opinion on those dark thoughts that have left the authors of literary and filmic works in interviews that we can now see and hear happily from the comfort and security of our home and I share them here ..... in the most terrifying community of Hive.

Saludos Turbios Comunidad de Spooky Zone, recientemente he estado revisionando aspectos del film The Shining y profundizado aun mas en esos detalles ocultos desde un punto de vista del Terror, los cuales se encuentran mas allá de lo que es la película pero nacen gracias al encanto tenebroso de esa historia que ha llegado a una mayor cantidad de audiencia por el poder sonoro y visual en imágenes del cine y la televisión.

Con esa búsqueda en mente llego gratamente a una entrevista que realizo Letterman al gran Stephen King quien es la mente oscura que escribió las bases en Libro de lo que luego seria la inspiración para esa Obra fílmica que tanto me ha impactado.

Conversando con el Diablo es una nueva sección en mi canal donde analizare y daré mi opinión sobre esos pensamientos oscuros que han dejado los autores de obras literarias y fílmicas en entrevistas que ahora podemos ver y escuchar felizmente desde la comodidad y seguridad de nuestro hogar y te las comparto aquí..... en La Comunidad mas Terrorífica de Hive.

In the video I share with you from Letterman's official Youtube channel you can see a very short interview with Stephen King focused on The Shining but we get to hear some of his more personal opinions about Horror as such, it's a short 8 minutes that I would love him to sit for a longer time because this interview really interested me a lot to hear more.

Letterman honestly doesn't know nothing about horror haha, these are typical situations in the journalism aspect, the point is that I would be more pleased if the person in charge had more preparation and experience in the topic because I like debates more than monologues, so in my case I was fully focused on listening to the wisdom of Stephen King to what were basically childish and entertaining questions from Letterman haha.

En el video que les comparto del canal oficial de Letterman en Youtube pueden ver una muy corta entrevista a Stephen King enfocada en The Shining pero logramos escuchar algunas de sus opiniones mas personales sobre el Terror como tal, son unos cortos 8 minutos que como me fuese encantado se sentara por un tiempo mas prolongado porque esta entrevista si que me intereso mucho oír mas.

Letterman sinceramente no sabe un carajo del terror jaja, estas son situaciones típicas en el aspecto periodismo, el punto es que me fuese agradado mas que la persona encargada tuviera mas preparación y experiencia en el tópico porque me gustan mas los debates que los monólogos, entonces en mi caso me enfoque plenamente en escuchar la sabiduría de Stephen King ante lo que eran básicamente preguntas infantiles y entretenidas de Letterman jaja.

I was pleased to see that Stephen King is loose, expresses himself freely and is not imprisoned by shyness, this surprised me haha because I saw him very comfortable from the first second and as you can see he was happy with his success or at least that is my feeling, I emphasize that although I am a fan of his movies, I am not a reader of books because I am extremely lazy to read haha and I had never heard him speak, this experience may be shared by many of those who read me and if so tell me in comments how did you like listening to this Idol of the Horror Genre.

When Letterman asks him about the origin of fear or Terror, King, in his way of thinking, comments that it is in the Unknown. I like that thought because it is very ambiguous giving freedom to the imagination, I think that the best horror is the childish one since it is the most pure, innocent, genuine and imaginative, it is the true fear of our souls that in the case of any author makes the imagination fly but with adulthood is metaphorically calcified by the ordinariness of today's world to be slaves bored of working and social restrictions.

It is terrifying for me to see how people's imagination slowly drowns until it dies with the advance of adulthood, I am still a happy child who enjoys life without end ..... until my life is over and then I get more scared by the agonizing way in which I will die hahaha.

Me agrado ver que Stephen King es suelto, se expresa libremente y no se le ve preso por la timidez, esto me sorprendió jaja porque lo vi muy cómodo desde el segundo 1 y como se ve estaba feliz de su éxito o al menos esa es mi sensación, destaco que aunque soy fan de sus películas, no soy lector de libros porque soy en extremo perezoso para leer jaja y nunca lo había escuchado hablar, esta experiencia quizá la compartan muchos de los que me leen y si es así díganme en comentarios que tal les pareció escuchar a este Ídolo del Genero del Terror.

Cuando Letterman le pregunta sobre el origen de los miedos o Terror, King a su modo de pensar comenta que esta en lo Desconocido. Me agrada ese pensamiento porque es muy ambiguo dando libertad a la imaginación, pienso que el mejor Terror es el infantil ya que es el mas puro, inocente, genuino e imaginativo, es el verdadero miedo de nuestras almas que en caso de cualquier autor hace volar la imaginación pero con la adultez se calcifica metafóricamente hablando por lo ordinario del mundo actual al ser esclavos aburridos de trabajar y de las restricciones sociales.

Me es Terrorífico ver como la imaginación de las personas se ahoga lentamente hasta morir con el avanzar en las etapas de la adultez, yo sigo siendo un niño feliz que disfruta la vida sin fin..... hasta que se acabe mi vida y allí me asuste mas por la forma agónica en que moriré jajaja.

And to finish this review, I remind you that the focus of the interview was The Shining and it is funny to see The King of Horror Stephen King being also a King of Humor and slave of those social pressures that name haha, he names that he wrote because his wife told him to pay the bills with something, I leave infinite jajas because there I laughed to no end, I remember what I thought was that it would be funny and terrifying at the same time to do a story of a woman who demands you to pay the debts, this terror is not far from reality and many men suffer it. .... in silence haha.

Then Stephen also mentions that he has no control over the films, you can see he is a person like me, lazy haha but skillful because if the film is a success as was The Shining directed by Stanley Kubrick, there if Stephen receives the applause and flowers for being the source of inspiration but if the film is not successful, then he walks away from the critics because he had no control. .... I perceive a shameless of the Terror that enjoys and enjoys what he lives, I do not perceive poisonous ambitions on his part, I see him genuine and happy with what he has achieved .... for what the sky when I can enjoy life lying on the clouds, that's how I think haha.

Ya para finalizar esta reseña, les recuerdo que el enfoque de la entrevista era The Shining y me es gracioso ver a El Rey del Terror Stephen King siendo también un Rey del Humor y esclavo de esas presiones sociales que nombre jaja, el nombra que escribió porque su esposa le decía que con algo pagara las cuentas, les dejo jajas infinitos porque allí me reí a mas no poder, recuerdo que lo que pensé fue que seria gracioso y terrorífico a la vez hacer un relato de una Mujer que te exige pagar las deudas, este terror no esta lejano a la realidad y muchos hombres lo sufren..... en silencio jaja.

Luego Stephen también nombra que no tiene control sobre los films, se ve es una persona como yo, flojo jaja pero hábil porque si el film es un éxito como lo fue The Shining dirigida por Stanley Kubrick, allí si Stephen recibe los aplausos y flores por ser la fuente de inspiración pero si la película no es exitosa, entonces se aleja de las criticas porque no tenia ningún control..... percibo a un descarado del Terror que disfruta y goza lo que vive, no percibo ambiciones venenosas por parte de el, lo veo genuino y contento con lo que ha logrado.... para que el cielo cuando puedo disfrutar la vida acostado en las nubes, así pienso yo jaja.
