Pitru Pakhsa Amavasya(day dedicated to ancestors)

Hello hiveans!
On saturday it was Mahalaya(Pitru Amavasya) or New moon day. This day is dedicated to our Ancestors(pitru). On this day , it is believed that the Pitrus return to earth to receive offerings from us! Actually pitru Pakhs is for 16 lunar day period and on Amavasya, is last day of pitru Pakhsa.

So on this day we offers foods, daans, some rituals and do prayers for our Ancestors to please them. The people will gain their blessing before they return back to the ancestral world. It is believed in Hindu Mythology that on this last day of pitru paksha one who does Pitru Tarpan and Pind daan then pur Ancestors get free from the cycle of life and death.
Devotees go to Temple, do Pind Daan, offers food to animals specially Cow and make Donations. This is done to get rid of ansectral debt and seek their blessing.

I also went To Goshaala(shelter of Cows) with my family and offer banana, madeHomemade Flatbreads and Jaggery to them. It was very Good day with lots of cows ,calves and oxen. There are around 200 cows included calves and oxen.
We serve them with our hands. Even my little daughter who was feared of making cow to eat by her own hands but today she shows bravery and feed the cows by her own hands. She was very happy and excited.

I made some Chapatis for Cow at home only. I made 30 chapatis and that was enough for my me to make. I bought 5kg jaggery and banana from the shop. We took all these in a bag and went their.

These are made up.of cowdungs- the village people these uplas for heating and cooking and for bio gas also.

These all are made up of cowungs. We can decorate with these in our house.

So overall we enjoyed there and seek blessings from.our ancestors. Once in a year we should feed the animals and do Daan rituals so that our inner soul also feel good and surround with positivity.
