I read a story in Spanish that interested me and I translated it to share it, it is about the PETRO cryptocurrency, of which I have not been able to have many signs of trust, in fact, I do not know of any international exchange that uses it.
Well, however, the original source is at
By YIMMERLYS LÓPEZThe National Superintendence of Cryptoactives and Related Activities (Sunacrip, for its acronym in Spanish) announced the creation of a new system for sending and receiving currencies, called "Patria Remesas" [Homeland Remittances] that would seek to "protect" the income of Venezuelans using cryptocurrency created by the regime, the petro.
The tool is 100% operational for sending and receiving remittances quickly, easily and safely, through remesas.patria.org.ve, according to the Superintendent of Sunacrip, Joselit Ramírez.
He stressed that Patria Remesas is one of the tools offered by Sunacrip to "protect the income of the Venezuelan people and break the traditional financial model imposed," said a press release.
Ramírez said that with the platformremesas.patria.org.ve Venezuelans will be able to send and receive remittances and follow up the transaction until they verify that the amount transferred reaches the home purse.
He noted that Patria Remesas was valid for any cryptocurrency. On the other hand, the journalist Simón Arrechider explained in a program that «the recipient may receive up to 10 Petros per month in foreign currency, only in the case of amounts higher than that mentioned should it be authorized by Sunacrip. In other words, up to 50 Petros can be received with prior authorization and they must identify the issuer's data very well ”, refers Prensa Sunacrip.
The Petro is a cryptocurrency that was born tied to the Venezuelan political-social avatars and that, despite the efforts of the regime, has not finished penetrating the lives of citizens, who prefer to use the American dollar or bitcoin to make their transactions, since the bolivar is devalued every day more.
I have the doubt, apart from the ones I have with PETRO, about who among Venezuelans who have had to go out and look for how to survive in other countries will rely on a government platform to hand over their money ... I say, the Diaspora Venezuelan I have not seen that I have a very good opinion of the current government, so entrusting them with some remittances so that it reaches their relatives sounds to me as unbelievable, after all, in these things you need "Trust" and that is a good of which the current Administration lacks the citizens who practically fled the country to find a better future ... or at least to survive.
