VSC NODES is now included in Hive Beacon
3 comments
This was initiated by and coded by the developer @techcoderx funded by @peak.open project.
Hive Beacon was developed by @asgarth years ago to help understand the status of Hive nodes for the benefit of PeakD.com and then started to be used by many other projects and it's open source. Later it was then expanded to be used by hive-engine nodes as well. Now it's been expanded to help understand the status and health of the new VSC nodes.
WHY?
Websites and Apps depend on node servers to do certain tasks. So Hive Beacon does those tasks as tests on a consistent time frame to see how capable each server is at each task. The beacon can document if there are any downtime on a particular task.

You can see that it keeps even nodes that are offline or older nodes in case a website/app/user wonders why their project isn't working and they can see the server is offline but can learn which ones they can use.
NOT 100%?
It may mean that this Node Server will do lots of transactions but there are a few things it's not set up to handle (this may be on purpose) developers can check the list and see which things it's not doing and it may not impact them because they may not need that ability.
VSC NODES
So far there are 2 VSC nodes that the Beacon tests and there are 9 tests and both of the servers pass them all.
WISH FILLED
We use Open Genie for projects like this to negotiate terms and to document a project and payment.
Open Genie is one of our Open Source projects done by @peak.open
Presently hosted at: https://genie.peakd.com/
Thanks @techcoderx
MORE VSC UPDATES
You might find it interesting to note that @peakd itself is coming out with a VSC wallet soon.
