📌 Introduction

Greetings to all Hive members! I hope you're all doing wonderfully. This time, I'm bringing you a more detailed and longer post about my experience at the second annual category versus competition, held in Barquisimeto, Lara state. It's a place I'd wanted to visit for a very long time, and honestly, it was an unforgettable experience for me and many other athletes who, like me, had a fantastic time. Clearly, everyone had a different perspective and a different story to tell, and in this case, I'll share mine.

It's worth mentioning that this competition was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of the Hive blockchain, the platform where I'm publishing this entire experience, which I'm sharing with you with much love. And of course, I want to give a shout-out to the wonderful organization of SWC (Street Workout Community). Without this amazing community, this incredible experience wouldn't have been possible.

🚌 On the way to San Cristóbal

My whole trip started quite early, since the bus that would take us wasn't going to leave from where I live. Instead, it was going to leave from the city of San Cristóbal, the capital of Táchira state, and I had to travel approximately one hour to get there. What I can best emphasize about this was the wonderful company and support my parents gave me along the way. They accompanied me and motivated me to give my all in this competition, which they had told me I would be entering just the day before, so it took me quite by surprise and I had to prepare quickly.

After arriving in the wonderful city of San Cristóbal, I went to the terminal, where I met my companions; of the three of us who were going to Maracay, only one was there, Kleymer, a person who has appeared many times in my publications and whom you will know very well. We chatted for quite a while while we waited for our other friend, Helian, who, despite living in San Cristóbal, was the last to arrive, which amused us somewhat, as we were in a bit of a hurry.

Once on the bus, everyone took their seat and we were quite comfortable. It was a very good bus, since both the air conditioning and the footrests worked; They were wonderful, and since there were only three of us, one of us had to sit in a separate seat. In this case, it was our friend Helian, who sat alone in the back with another person. But even so, the three of us were talking and didn't dwell on the fact that he was sitting behind us.

🏢 Heading to Maracay and Day One

I don't have much to say about the journey to Maracay, to be honest. Compared to previous times when the trip was quite annoying and very tiring, I must say that this time it was very smooth, just a few rather nasty potholes that left us with some aches and pains, but really nothing too serious, which made me more than happy. The views were more than splendid, and as always, accompanied by my companions and laughing, we didn't realize when we arrived because, to tell the truth, it was quite fast, a trip that didn't feel heavy at all, and around 8 in the morning we were already in Maracay.

As we arrived and reunited with our SWC teammates, whom we hadn't seen in a while, since we usually only see them when there's a competition, seeing that Ciudad Bolívar, El Zulia, and Mérida were there was a feeling of happiness and reunion that, to be honest, was quite comforting, and we were able to laugh for a while with some jokes from our teammate Ismael, who, to tell the truth, did some very funny things. Which, every time I remember it, brings back incredible laughter, although the only thing I didn't miss was the heat, since it's not that hot in Táchira, and seeing this overwhelming amount of heat was like another world.

On the way, we caught up and laughed together as we walked straight to the hotel, which we already knew where it was because we stayed at the same hotel for the fourth edition of the Street Workout Dual Battles. So, we all knew the address and where we were going to end up. The previous time it hadn't been so difficult to get there, and this time it was faster, perhaps because we had been there before and this time we knew the whole way. And then I finally saw the hotel entrance.

Upon arriving at the hotel, one of the first things we did was look for our rooms, and I must say they were incredibly comfortable. They had excellent mattresses, and the beds even had wheels so we could move them around, which we thought was amazing. So, we decided to rearrange the room to throw away some irons and other things because we were so excited, both to have arrived and for the competition that awaited us. The competition was more than just a source of joy for us, simply because we were going to meet a lifelong idol.

After that, we looked for our teammates to go to lunch. We were hungry, and since we didn't know the streets of Maracay very well, it's great to go out as a group to explore it better and, as such, enjoy the experience together as a team. We went to several places and saw a lot of food—hamburgers, hot dogs—but honestly, nothing really appealed to us until we saw a place selling lunches for just $5. When we saw them, we realized they were very well prepared; they had good chicken and perfectly cooked rice.

This will be one of two parts where I explain in more detail my trip to the city of Maracay and my competition in Barquisimeto. I wanted to do two in one, but I feel like it would be too long, and my idea is for the content to be entertaining and not overwhelming, so I'll publish the next part tomorrow. 📌 Introducción

Un saludo a todos, hivers, espero estén de maravilla. En esta oportunidad les traigo una publicación más específica y alargada sobre lo que fue mi experiencia en los versus por categoría en su segunda edición, competencia que fue realizada en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, en el estado Lara, un lugar al que había querido visitar desde hacía muchísimo tiempo y, la verdad, fue una experiencia inolvidable para mí y para muchos atletas que, la verdad, al igual que yo, la pasamos de maravilla. Claramente, cada uno tuvo una perspectiva diferente y una historia diferente que contar y, en este caso, yo les contaré la mía.

Cabe decir que esta competencia fue realizada gracias al patrocinio de la blockchain de Hive, plataforma donde publico esta experiencia completa y que les traigo con mucho cariño, y claro, dar una mención a la maravillosa organización de SWC (Street Workout Community), que si no hubiera sido por esta maravillosa comunidad, no se hubiera vivido esta maravillosa experiencia.

🚌 Camino a San Cristóbal

Todo mi viaje empezó desde bastante temprano, ya que donde vivo no iba a salir el bus que nos llevaría, sino que este saldría desde la ciudad de San Cristóbal, la capital del estado Táchira, y me tocó viajar 1 hora aproximadamente para llegar hasta ahí. Lo que mejor puedo recalcar sobre esto fue la maravillosa compañía y apoyo que me brindaron mis padres en el camino, donde me acompañaron y me motivaron a darlo todo en esta competición, a la cual me habían dicho que iría tan solo un día antes, por lo cual me agarró bastante de sorpresa y me tocó prepararme rápidamente.

Luego de llegar a la maravillosa ciudad de San Cristóbal, me fui hasta el terminal, lugar en el que me encontré con mis compañeros; de los 3 que iríamos hasta Maracay, tan solo estaba uno, que era Kleymer, una persona que ha aparecido muchas veces en mis publicaciones y conocerán muy bien. Nos entretuvimos un buen rato hablando mientras esperábamos a nuestro otro compañero, que es Helian, el cual, a pesar de vivir en la misma San Cristóbal, fue el que llegó de último y nos dio algo de gracia, ya que debo decir que sí estábamos algo apresurados.

Ya en el bus, cada quien tomó su asiento y estuvimos bastante cómodos. Fue un bus muy bueno, ya que servían tanto los aires como los reposapiés; estaban de maravilla y, como solo éramos 3, uno de nosotros tuvo que irse en un asiento aparte, que en este caso fue nuestro compañero Helian, el cual se sentó solo en el asiento de atrás junto con otra persona, pero aun así estuvimos hablando los 3 y no le dimos muchas vueltas al hecho de que él se había quedado en la parte de atrás de nosotros.

🏢 Rumbo a Maracay y primer día

No tengo mucho que decir sobre lo que fue el camino rumbo a Maracay, la verdad. De anteriores veces que el viaje fue bastante fastidioso y muy desgastante, debo decir que esta vez fue muy tranquilo, solo algunos baches bastante feos que nos dejaron algunos dolores, pero realmente nada muy fuerte, lo cual me dejó más que feliz por ello, y las vistas fueron más que espléndidas y, como siempre, acompañado por mis compañeros y entre risas, no nos dimos cuenta en el momento que llegamos porque, a decir verdad, fue bastante rápido, un viaje que no sentimos pesado, y a eso de las 8 de la mañana ya estábamos en Maracay.

Fue llegando y reencontrándonos con nuestros compañeros de SWC que llevábamos tiempo sin ver, ya que generalmente solo los vemos cuando hay alguna competencia, y ver que estaba Ciudad Bolívar, El Zulia y Mérida fue una sensación de felicidad y reencuentro que, la verdad, fue bastante reconfortante y nos pudimos reír un rato con algunos chistes de nuestro compañero Ismael, que a decir verdad hizo algunas cosas muy cómicas, de las cuales cada vez que recuerdo es una risa increíble, aunque lo único que no extrañé fue el calor, ya que en el Táchira no hay tanto calor y ver esta cantidad exhaustiva de calor fue otro mundo.

En el camino nos pusimos al día y nos reíamos juntos mientras caminábamos directo al hotel, cosa que ya sabíamos dónde quedaba porque en la cuarta edición de las Street Workout Dual Battles nos hospedamos en el mismo hotel, por lo que ya todos sabíamos la dirección del mismo y a dónde íbamos a ir a llegar, solo que la anterior vez no nos había costado tanto llegar y esta vez fue más rápido, quizás porque ya habíamos ido con anterioridad y esta vez ya sabíamos todo el camino y entre todo vi por fin la entrada del hotel.

📌 Despedida 🤚🏻

Al llegar al hotel, una de las cosas que primero hicimos fue buscar nuestras habitaciones y debo decir que eran demasiado cómodas; tenían colchones muy buenos y las camas como tal tenían ruedas para poder moverlas, lo que nos parecía increíble, así que decidimos acomodar el cuarto de una forma diferente para así tirar algunas planchas y demás cosas porque estábamos bastante felices, tanto por haber llegado como por la competencia que nos esperaba, la cual era más que una felicidad para nosotros por la simple razón de que conoceríamos a un ídolo de toda la vida.

Luego de ello, buscamos a nuestros compañeros para ir a almorzar; teníamos hambre y, al no conocer del todo las calles de Maracay, es muy bueno salir en grupo para así conocerla de mejor manera y, como tal, disfrutar de la experiencia todos como un equipo. Llegamos a varios lugares y vimos un poco de mucha comida, que si hamburguesa, que si perros calientes, pero la verdad, nada nos convencía hasta que vimos un sitio donde vendían almuerzos por tan solo 5 dólares y, al verlos, nos dimos cuenta de que estaban muy resueltos, tenían un buen pollo y arroz bien resuelto.

Esta será una de dos partes donde explico con más detalle sobre lo que fue mi viaje a la ciudad de Maracay y mi competencia en Barquisimeto. Quería realizar dos en una sola, pero siento que será un post muy extenso y mi idea es que el contenido sea entretenido y no agobiante, así que en el día de mañana publicaré la siguiente parte.
