I hope you are all doing well. I am doing great, thank God, taking some time off this week from some pending activities with my graduating class, which I will tell you more about later. And besides giving myself a few days off to clear my mind, but here we are.

This time I bring you a review, but not one of the ones you're used to for movies and series, ha ha ha, but rather for this new section, or let's say post, that I'll start uploading, since thanks to my friend @mandysmoon I found out about this YouHive community, and hey, I thought this was an excellent opportunity and what keeps me happy every day on Hive, that this time there is a space where we can express our opinions and experiences about the content we consume on the YouTube platform.

In my case, I have a lot to share, haha, as we say around here, although again, as I manage my two accounts, it's very varied. However, here are my personal tastes, and there we will try to give it more of a professional focus. But you'll get used to it little by little, haha, even I find it difficult to manage two profiles.

On this occasion, I want to share with you a channel that definitely marked my childhood on YouTube, which is currently inactive. I can safely say that for many, in the early days of the platform, it left its mark with various memories, memes, when we didn't even know what those were, reference images for jokes, or jokes that made us laugh at the time or made us burst out laughing on more than one occasion.

It was a channel that knew how to attract a large audience of young people, minors, and adults, who are now grown up, and even people in their 30s remember it. and it continues to resonate with the audience that watches it, but from another channel, and its humor or way of making jokes was not so attacked by the sensibilities of the time, nor was it so singled out for a fragility that is currently experienced by people who complain about everything or have to find a problem to fight about in everything. That's right, I'm talking about HolaSoyGerman .

HolaSoyGerman became, for me, and I think for many of you reading this, a global icon who knew from the beginning how to take advantage of the YouTube platform. I don't know about you, but in my day, just mentioning or simply wanting to see Germán Garmendia meant coming home from school, sitting down at the computer, and watching the early days of YouTube, which was all low quality at the time but was the best we had after DVDs, and watching an episode of Germán.

Without a doubt, this content creator, who still retains some of his charisma, could be considered the true unifier of an entire generation based on his comedy, video plots, and, of course, his life as a creator and person that everyone loved and appreciated. But what were the videos or the HolaSoyGerman channel based on?

Well, they weren't really that difficult to understand. Germán would say that he set the precedent for what later became today's comedy sketches. The difference with Germán is that his sketches weren't so elaborate in terms of production, people, or equipment. He started from home with a camera and his basic video editing skills. The rest was his creativity in making comedy out of a random topic and writing a script.

What characterized Germán was his authenticity, which I think is something we have all collected and copied on other platforms today. The way he cuts the recording and appears from one moment to the next looks very easy with video editors or apps, but Germán had to do it manually on his computer, which could take him days to summarize a 2- or 3-hour video into 10 minutes.

Another thing that characterized Germán was his ability to recreate scenes from jokes, impersonating different people, just by changing clothes, putting on caps, hats, and, of course, the typical rag on his head to simulate a woman. He was also known for his ingenuity in creating iconic things that never go out of style, and which I, at least, having followed him since the beginning, remember very well, such as the kamikazi shoe, Dr. Martha, Mr. Sign, and, of course, the iron that beats happy couples.

And that was the wonderful thing about faithfully waiting for a video from Germán on Fridays, that the topic he could talk about could connect with you, the audience, because in turn he was telling part of his story in that experience. Such as relationships, going out with someone for the first time, birthdays, siblings, in-laws, the end of the world, the World Cup, when you have a breakup.

Other topics that were fun to watch Germán talk about were anecdotes about his old girlfriends or moving house. For a long time, he recorded his videos in Chile, but then with his success on YouTube, he started traveling, and between those trips, apart from finding himself in a new setting, he also brought a story with him, which of course he didn't miss the opportunity to tell and make us smile.

But hey, all good things come to an end, and HolaSoyGerman was no exception. As time went by, Germán announced that he was focusing on other projects and that making videos like the ones on Fridays took up a lot of time and was very exhausting. He started a new project quite some time ago on his gaming channel, and his main channel was left with only the last video he uploaded on a Friday. On the other hand, and this is just my personal opinion, if Germán were to start uploading content again like he used to, with the same humor and comedy, he would have a pretty tough audience with low tolerance for what they don't like.

Well, my dear readers, this was my first review of a YouTube channel. I wanted it to be something special, so I started with this one, which really reminds me a lot of my childhood. Espero que se encuentren muy bien, yo bien gracias a Dios, desocupandome de esta semana de unas actividades pendientes con mi promoción de graduación, de las cuales ya les contaré más adelante. Y además de darme unos días de descanso para despejar la mente, pero aquí seguimos.

En esta oportunidad les traigo una reseña, pero una de las que están acostumbrados de película y series, no jajaja sino de esta nueva sección o digamos que post que empezaré a subir, ya que gracias a mi amiga @mandysmoon me enteré de esta comunidad de YouHive, y oye, me pareció excelente esta oportunidad y lo que me mantiene feliz todos los días de Hive, en que esta oportunidad haya un espacio en que podamos explotar nuestra opinión y experiencia, del contenido que consumimos de la plataforma de YouTube.

En mi caso, tengo mucho que tirar para el techo jajaja como decimos por aquí, aunque nuevamente como manejo en mis dos cuentas, está muy variado, sin embargo por aquí están mis gustos personales, y por allá trataremos de darle más el enfoque profesional. Pero eso ya ustedes se irán acostumbrando poco a poco jajaja hasta yo, no es fácil manejar dos perfiles.

En esta oportunidad quiero compartirles un canal, que si o si marcó la era de mi infancia en Youtube, que actualmente está inactivo, puedo decir con seguridad, que a muchos, en los comienzos de la plataforma, lo marco con varios recuerdos, memes, cuando ni siquiera sabíamos que era eso, imágenes de referencia para chistes, o chistes que en ese momento daban risa o como más de una ocasión nos sacaron una carcajada.

Un canal que supo cómo atraer a la audiencia a mucho jóvenes, menores y mayores de edad, que actualmente somos adultos ya, e incluso gente lo recuerda teniendo 30 años, y sigue resonando en la audiencia que lo ve pero desde otro canal y que su humor o manera de hacer chiste no estaba tan atacado por la sensibilidad de la época y ni era tan señalado por una fragilidad que actualmente se vive en la gente que por todo se queja o a todo le tiene que buscar un problema para pelear. Así es, le hablo de HolaSoyGerman .

HolaSoyGerman se convirtió para mí, y creo que para muchos de los que me están leyendo, en un icono mundial, que supo desde sus inicios, sacarle el provecho a la plataforma de YouTube, no se ustedes, pero en mis tiempos, solo mencionar o sencillamente querer ver a Germán Garmendia, es recordar regresar de las clases, sentarme en la computadora y ver el inicio de YouTube todo de baja calidad en ese momento pero era lo mejor que teníamos luego de los DVD, y ver un episodio de Germán.

Sin duda alguna, se podría considerar a este creador de contenido, aún mantiene parte de su carisma, el verdadero unificador de toda una generación en base a su comedia, trama de videos y por supuesto, su vida como creador y persona que todo mundo quería y apreciaba. Pero en qué se basaban los videos o el canal de HolaSoyGerman?

Bueno, realmente no eran muy difícil de entender, Germán diría que marcó el precedente de lo que luego surgieron los Sketch de comedia de hoy en día, la diferencia de German, es que sus Sketch no tenían tanta elaboración, en cuestión de producción, personas, ni equipos, el empezó, desde su casa, con una cámara, y su habilidades básica de editar videos. Lo demás, fue su creatividad de hacer comedia de un tema random y elaborar un guión.

Lo que si caracterizaba a Germán, era su autenticidad, que creo que hoy en día es algo que todos hemos recopilado y copiado en otras plataformas, la manera de cortar la grabación y aparecer de un momento a otro, se ve muy fácil con los editores de vídeo o las apps, pero para Germán el debía hacerlo manual desde su computadora, que podía llevarle días, un video de 2 o 3h resumirlo en 10min.

Otra de las cosas que caracterizó a Germán, fue la habilidad de recrear escenas de chistes, personificado a más personas, solo cambiando de ropa, colocándose gorras, sombreros y por supuesto el típico trapo en la cabeza para simular una mujer. También fue su ingenio de cosas icónicas que no envejecen con el tiempo y que por lo menos yo que lo sigo desde sus inicios recuerdo muy bien, como la zapatilla kamikasi, la Dra Martha, el señor letrero y por supuesto el fierro golpeador de parejas felices.

Y eso era lo maravilloso de esperar un viernes fielmente un vídeo de Germán, que el tema que pudiese hablar, pudiese conectar contigo con la audiencia, porque a su vez el contaba parte de su historia en tal experiencia. Cómo relaciones de pareja, salir con alguien por primera vez, los cumpleaños, los hermanos, los suegros, el fin del mundo, el mundial de fútbol, cuando tienes una ruptura.

Otras de los temas que era divertido de ver a Germán, era las anécdotas de sus viejas o cambios de casas, por mucho tiempo él grabó sus videos en chile, pero luego con el éxito en Youtube empezó a viajar, y entre esos viajes aparte encontrarse con un nuevo cambio de escenario y también traía una historia detrás, que por supuesto él no desaprovechaba para contar y sacarnos una sonrisa.

Pero bueno, todo lo bueno, tiene su final, y HolaSoyGerman como tal, no fue la excepción, con el pasar del tiempo, Germán dio a conocer que estaba enfocado en otros proyectos y el hecho de hacer videos como el de los viernes fielmente consumía bastante tiempo y era muy agotador, comenzó un nuevo proyecto hace bastante tiempo en su canal de juegos, y el su canal principal a solo se quedó con el último video que subió un viernes. Por otro lado y esto ya es opinión personal mío, si Germán volviera a subir contenido de cómo él lo hacía antes con el mismo humor o comedia, tendría un público bastante difícil con baja tolerancia a lo que no le gusta.

Y bueno mis queridos lectores, está fue mi primera reseña de un canal de Youtube, quería que fuese algo especial por eso empecé con este que de verdad me recuerda mucho a mi infancia, espero que a ti también.
