Hello Everyone,

Okay this wasn't what I planned to write but I got angry this morning because with the look of things in My Dear Country Nigeria, the same thing that happened the previous years will still happen again come 2027.

Nigerian are very blessed people, very intelligent, hardworking, smart, Entertaining, and God fearing people. But even with having all the natural resources and fertile land, my people still suffer.
We suffer from Bad leaders, who have no intention or business with leading the masses to better life, they are all for their belly.

The worst part of this problem is that those in Power, did not just get into the office, they were all voted by the same people that crave for better life and government.
We always make the worst decisions when it comes to leadership.
It's like a curse, a very viscous curse, running from one era to another.
From frying pan to Fire, then to something worst than fire 🥲🤦.

I remember last 6 years when former president Mohammadu Buhari was still on seat as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that time he was clamouring for Second term in office, by then, I believe everyone in the country knows that his government was a collosal failure, with all the promises he made to the masses everything was absolutely a failure.

Let us check some of the failed promises:

❌ He failed to Revamp the Power Sector, Despite campaign promises to revive the power supply, the national grid collapsed at least 98 times during his tenure, plunging millions of Nigerians into darkness ( Even our power holding companies are not trying too).
❌ Poverty Reduction was zero:
Buhari's promise to lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty was a sham, with rising inflation worsening the welfare of Nigerian households. Nigeria's inflation rate accelerated to a 17-year high of 22.04% in March 2023.
❌ Security of the Country was a failure:
Buhari's administration failed to terminate insecurity, with Boko Haram insurgency, banditry, and ethnic clashes persisting. His promise to entrench community policing remained an empty sound bite.
❌ Economic Revamp was not fulfilled,
❌ Corruption was on the Highest score points, with snakes swallowing some money, monkey running away with billions from the government houses.

Finally Buhari's administration practically shut down the privatization process, with plans to privatize certain sectors not coming to fruition.

With all these Failures, Buhari was Re-elected and he completed his Administration without fulfilling the promises.
To my very suprise 2023 came And Nigerians still voted for President Bola Hammed Tinubu.
Guess What, His first gift to the Nation of Nigeria was removing the fuel Subsidy.
When you thought things couldn't get worst, the prices of Fuel went from #213 in 2023 to a ridiculous #1015.

This abrupt change made the prices of things to be tripled.
As if that would be all, Security in the country got worst with people dying in hundreds due to insurgency, bandits now have full grounds in the country, kidnapping is now a regular business, no more safe travels.

The book of Hosea 4:6 (a book from the Holy Bible), which states that "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children". This verse emphasizes the importance of knowledge and wisdom, In this context, the lack of wisdom and knowledge leads to destruction and rejection.

It's funny how I started this post with one of the special attributes of Nigerians as being God fearing people but they lack the wisdom and knowledge hence they are being destroyed by their own ignorance.

I can see a lot of people very comfortable with the failure of the present administration, in fact campaigns have started already, the Vicious cycle continues and History just keeps repeating itself.

Can anything be done to break this vicious cycle?

Yes something can be done, Nigerian needs to come together with one voice and say No to Bad Governance. We must first stop the Division in our midst, Tribalism, Zoning, Religion is our Major problem.
We need A comprehensive approach addressing leadership, governance, economic diversification, infrastructure, security, and social welfare, coupled with effective policy implementation and accountability.
