June 27,1985 Unforgettable Experienced

They are my sister who escaped the burning of our house. They were 6 and seven years old that time and these are their latest picture.

LoopIt was still so fresh in my mind about those days when our house was burned while my two sisters were sleeping inside. We supposed to celebrate St. Peter by taking a bath in the sea but we did not finish our work earlier. It made my mother feeling bad. So my brother and father went there for fish catching using bamboo.

I was then so excited for our swimming planned and enjoy the sea and food but it was not happened. With my disappointment, I was our clothes including my uniform. I was then 15 years old and third year high school.

While washing, I saw my mother coming and another woman at her back calling her. She was our old Aunt like a grandmother. She hugged my mother and talked gently that our house was burned. My mother collapsed upon hearing it because my two sister at at at 6 and 7 years were sleeping there. She just left our house 20 minutes ago but in 10 minutes our house was burned. My mother regained her strength and so amazing miracle my sisters were alive. They even not hurt. I forgot how they escaped. I forgot asking them because it was not only that accident t happened. It happened 3pm.

At 6pm my Uncle, the brother of my mother met accident. He was attacked by knife and it cut his face. So scary when ai heard him crying outside the house of my grandparents. All the trauma I had that day , the same day today, made me shocked.

It was not finished, after they brought my Uncle to the nearest hospital. He was admitted there. In the morning my grandfather was there in the hospital and come home to feed the pigs. He we t to the valley nearby but never return. Our neighbor told me that he heard my grandfather calling me. He fell from the tree he climbed for the pig foods. He admitted in the hospital in the city of Tagbilaran. After 6 days he died. His spinal column was broken. That was fatal.

I lost all my hope and it was one of the most painful death I noticed in my life.It was the memory that I won't forget.
