I think technology took away having childhood memories from kids of this generation.

Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Our world keeps evolving, and things keep changing. How we grew up or were trained as kids is not the same way kids these days are being trained. The parenting style differs. Everything we experienced as kids, children these days experience little or nothing of. Sometimes I look at how children of these days are being raised, and I cannot help but envy them. They enjoy so much freedom, so much that they even have access to technological devices like smartphones, iPads, and even laptops.
There are so many things I did as a kid that I look back at and I find myself smiling sheepishly and wishing I could do it again, and again. The hangout with friends, sneaking out of school, causing our parents to run after us, back then you it just felt like doing the wrong thing was the right to do so we did it with all our hearts and mind, sometimes the consequences of our actions are huge but we still find a way to come out strong and today we have so many childhood memories we can look back at and smile.
Kids these days spend their free time on technological devices like laptops, iPads, smartphones, video games, or watching TV, giving them little or no time to associate with other kids and create memories, memories they can look back at and smile or say, I did the same when I was a kid. Kids these days have very little memory of their childhood; they don't socialize. Everyone is basically on their own and either on their iPad or on their smartphone. No one has the time to socialize as they are all so engrossed with whatever they are doing on their phones, iPads, or laptops.
As kids growing up, we spent our free time socializing and causing a lot of nuisance in the neighborhood. Sometimes our parents pray we don't come back from school; they always wish we could stay longer in school because the moment we are back from school, the peace and quiet in the neighborhood turns into chaos, shouts, and screams from kids playing and socializing. Those days in my neighborhood when kids go to school, the neighborhood becomes a graveyard until evening when they return and they bring life back to the neighborhood.
While kids of this generation are both at home and at school, the neighborhood remains quiet because no one is associating, no one is socializing; they are all indoors and busy on their smartphones, iPads, laptops, and TVs, with no one wanting to socialize and make memories as kids. Trust me, many kids from this generation will grow up and will have little or no memory of the things they did as kids, as they spend most of their time alone and on their smartphones or laptops; therefore, they will have nothing to look back at and call childhood memory.
