So recently I noticed that my door constantly has friction with the rubber carpet in my room, thereby causing wear and tear to the carpet. At times, I don't like opening the door to the end, but that has not stopped the problem, because it still has contact with the carpet.
I thought of what to do but didn’t get any quick solution. Getting a carpenter to come cut the bottom part of the door will cost money, take time, and might deform the door. I thought of what to do again. So this morning, as I was sweeping, I saw a sandpaper that I had used before but was still okay. Immediately, I got an idea that I could make use of this sandpaper on the door.
I started the process, but it didn’t really give me what I needed. So I got the sandpaper, cut a piece of carton, and placed part of the sandpaper on the carton using super glue to hold it firm. You can also use a stapler to staple the sandpaper to the carton, the aim is to hold it firm. After placing that sandpaper on the carton, I placed it under the part of the door that had contact with the carpet. I pushed it forward and backward repeatedly until the sandpaper kept smoothing that part of the door. Behold, it became a bit free. I removed the sandpaper and tried pulling the door again, and there was an improvement.
So I repeated the process again until it was very free.
And that was how I fixed the friction between my door and carpet. You can as well try this if you have a similar issue. It works well, it doesn’t cost much, just get sandpaper and maybe a carton.

Recientemente noté que mi puerta constantemente tiene fricción con la alfombra de goma en mi habitación, lo que está causando desgaste en la alfombra. A veces, no me gusta abrir la puerta completamente, pero eso no ha detenido el problema, porque aún tiene contacto con la alfombra.

También se puede usar una engrapadora para sujetar la lija al cartón, el objetivo es que quede firme. Después de colocar la lija en el cartón, la puse debajo de la parte de la puerta que tenía contacto con la alfombra. La deslicé hacia adelante y hacia atrás repetidamente hasta que la lija fue puliendo esa parte de la puerta. Y he aquí, se volvió un poco más libre. Quité la lija y probé abrir la puerta de nuevo, y hubo una mejora.
Así que repetí el proceso hasta que quedó completamente libre.
