We are not exempt from getting sick and less in this time when viruses and bacteria seem to be easier to catch and harder to get rid of when they come in contact with our organism, the girls had been fine although the weather in the last few days has been quite rainy, the drinking water supplied to us is a bit cloudy but as we use filtered water there was nothing to worry about, but the garbage collection has not been so efficient consequently the increase of flies and that brings with it numerous diseases and it is impossible to escape from them. On Wednesday Alys's teacher called me saying that she had a headache and tummy ache, which I found very strange because she was fine until the moment I left her at school, by chance that day I was free at work so I went to pick her up immediately, when they gave her to me she had excessive sweating and she said: "Mom I feel bad, I want to sleep" we arrived home and I gave her medicine for the discomfort and put her to bed, about 10 minutes passed when she shouts: "Mom I want to go to bed" she could not finish the sentence. ..." she couldn't finish the sentence when she started to vomit the medicine and water, because she hadn't had breakfast at school. So at that moment I asked if the pediatrician at the medical service where I work was on duty and luckily she was, I took her to be examined, the doctor checked her tummy and she did not complain about the pain but rather she was laughing a little, she said that her head hurt and that she felt weak, they also took her weight, examined her throat and listened to her heart, she was a little pale, according to what the doctor explained to me it was because she had low blood pressure and as she had not eaten her body needed to replenish energy. She told me that I should eat healthy, avoid sausages, canned food, citrus and excess fat in meals, and that I should take medicine with domperidone for her tummy and acetominofen for the rest of the discomfort, after the review I went to the pharmacy for them and took the opportunity to buy those that were prescribed and also ibuprofen for pain and clodoxin for vomiting that I had run out and are part of my indispensable medicines and that I like to have on hand. It only remains to perform a complete hematology and fasting glycemia to verify that the treatment fulfilled its function and that the virus that affected her stomach left her little body, today she is already better and full of energy. No estamos exentos de enfermarnos y menos en este tiempo en que los virus y bacterias parecen ser más fáciles de contraer y más difíciles deshacerse de ellos cuando entran en contacto con nuestro organismo, las niñas habían estado bien aunque el clima en los últimos días ha sido bastante lluvioso, el agua potable que se nos suministra es un poco turbia pero como utilizamos agua filtrada no había de que preocuparse, pero la recolección de basura no ha sido tan eficiente por consiguiente el incremento de las moscas y eso trae consigo numerosas enfermedades y es imposible escaparse de ellas.
El miércoles me llamó la maestra de Alys diciéndome que tenía dolor de cabeza y de barriga, lo cuál me pareció muy extraño porque ella estaba bien hasta el momento en que la deje en la escuela, por casualidad ese día estaba libre en el trabajo así que fuí a buscarla de inmediato, cuando me la entregaron tenía sudoración excesiva y me dijo: "Mamá me siento mal, quiero dormir" llegamos a la casa y le di medicina para el malestar y la acosté en la cama, pasaron unos 10 minutos cuando me grita: "Mamá quiero vo..." no pudo terminar la frase cuando empezó a vomitar las medicinas y agua, porque no había desayunado en el colegio.
Así que en ese momento pregunté si estaba de turno la médico pediatra del servicio médico en donde trabajo y por suerte lo estaba, la lleve para que fuera examinada, la doctora reviso su barriguita y no se quejaba del dolor sino que más bien le daba un poco de risa, decía que le dolía la cabeza y que se sentía débil, también tomaron su peso, examinaron su garganta y escucharon su corazón, estaba un poco pálida, según me explicó la doctora que era porque tenía la tensión baja y como no había comido su cuerpo necesitaba reponer energía.
Me indicó que debía comer sano, evitar los embutidos, enlatados, cítricos y los excesos de grasas en las comidas, además que debía tomar medicamentos con domperidona para su barriguita y acetominofen para el resto del malestar, después de la revisión fui a la farmacia por ellos y aproveche para comprar los que fueron recetados y además ibuprofeno para el dolor y clodoxin para el vomito que se me habían terminado y son parte de mis medicinas indispensables y que me gusta tener a la mano.
Solo queda pendiente realizar una hematología completa y glicemia en ayunas para verificar que el tratamiento cumpliera su función y que el virus que afecto a su estómago saliera de su cuerpecito, ya hoy se encuentra mejor y llena de bastante energía.
