The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway or known as the CCLEX is the longest bridge the ever built in the Philippines. The bridge has a total length of 8.9 kilometer and having high pillars of at least 145 meters high making it the longest and highest bridge in the Philippines. It's a good experience to walk, run, and take photos along the bridge; being there early in the morning is so refreshing while watching as the sun rises and the reflection illuminates the wide ocean, feels so peaceful. It's a perfect opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the Queen City of the South, Cebu.

As you enter the bridge, you have to stop at the guardhouse to write some information in case of emergency. You don't have to worry as you walk along the bridge because it is safe there as it is protected with barriers side by side to make sure nothing happens to people. The road that you will cross is also shared with people who run, cycle, walk, or simply just stroll. On your left side, you'll see the cars, motors, and other types of vehicles passing by, and on the right side, you will see the wide ocean along with a couple of known infrastructures like the SM Seaside and Nustar. As we proceed along the bridge there's a lot of beauty to see and to adore the surroundings. You'll see fishermen working and trying to catch fish as they try to sell it, and you'll eventually see a lot of couples, friends, and families that are also trying to experience crossing the bridge to the other side. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with your friends, family, or your beloved one as you enjoy the scenic views that surround the bridge, making our and your journey memorable.

I recommend you come here in the morning as sunrise lover; you will surely love the moment that you're in here. It's best you also bring water and energizing food if you're not a runner because it will take at least 1 to 2 hours for you to cross the bridge. The peaceful atmosphere and the cool breeze make the journey feel like a short distance, and you might even forget about time as you take in the breathtaking views.

    • Be sure to pause every now and then to capture the beauty with your camera or just to enjoy the moment. Whether you're walking, jogging, biking, or simply strolling, the experience will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged for the rest of the day. You'll see a lot of signage to inform you of the remaining km and the places near the end of the bridge. After you cross the bridge, you will be fascinated by how clean the surroundings are, and there are also a lot of vendors selling coconuts, kakanins (rice cakes), refreshments, breads, and a lot more. Overall, the experience of crossing the bridge of CCLEX is fun and so refreshing, you'll be inspired to pursue your likes as you finish the bridge.
