21KM Coffee: A Little Escape from the City

I have not been posting really much since the past week because of my very hectic and stressful schedule. Last weekend I wanted to have a mental break and spend a little time unwinding. Luckily a great friend of mine suggested 21km Coffee. It’s in Cantipla area. As it’s not located in the heart of the city, it’s still relatively easy to find if you’re driving. There are signage and directions along the highway to guide you.
We arrived at the place around 6 am to grab a coffee and hopefully experience the foggy environment early in the morning. The main thing we appreciate about the place is the overlooking mountain views. The nature view is definitely one major reason why the café is often visited. The area radiates calmness and peace which was really helpful is relieving mental stress. Its location was perfect for relaxation and a little adventure.
The ambiance has the perfect blend of cozy and rustic. The use of natural woods in the interior design gives it a warm and inviting feeling. While the outdoor setting was simple, it was comfortable enough for you to stay and admire nature. It is really a perfect spot to have conversation with friends, read a book or simply enjoy the view.
Aside from its majestic view, they also offer a wide selection of foods and drinks. They offer a variety of coffee drinks including cappuccino, latte, and iced coffee. They also have non-coffee options like smoothies and fruit juices.
One of their popular food item was their cheesecake flan. We liked it because it combines the cream texture of cheesecake with caramelized goodness of flan. The unique combination of flavors and the smooth consistency makes it a very delicious treat. We also ordered their crispy pork belly and creamy mushroom alfredo. Both dish satisfied us and was served with great quality.
The food experience was great however one thing they can improve is the wait time during food serving. Since we got there during peak hour (breakfast period) and weekend, food serving took a little too long. They can consider adding more staff during peak hours to improve quality of service.
Overall, my experience in 21 km Coffee was definitely amazing. Having the perfect nature view and good quality of foods in one café somehow relieved my mental stress.
