3 Months in County

So awaiting trial I was in county lockup for 3 months. Baby mama did 2 1/2 months...

The cop that was arresting us told me during the arrest that if I told him where stash was he would let baby mama go.

I don't ever trust cops, not now, not ever. The position it puts a person in is one of continuously breaking any moral code you could have.

So I of course didn't say shit.

I was in jail with guys that had "taken the heat" so their girls could get out. I knew the trick it was.

If you don't know the trick here...
They say that to get you to say things without an attorney that will fuck you hard later. When you take this deal you cannot fight them on it later. You've already admitted guilt and accepted consequence. This is literally the stupidest thing you can do.

Most of the time, and I mean most of the damn time, the lover you took the heat for takes off the minute they are released, not to see your sorry ass again.

On top of that, you're left with absolutely no way to fight. You've given up all of your rights to be heard.

Several guys in there gave me shit... telling me how wrong it was to let my girl do a stint in county.

My lawyer told me different. She told me that if I had done that she would not be able to fight for me on anything.

They are all still in lockup and their lovers are long gone likely getting into other trouble.

My baby mama has 0 convictions for any charge (meaning no criminal record) and I'm here writing this post.

Last guy I met in there was doing 16 years for fucking possession cause he was stupid enough to do that. They fucked him hard af. He had literally no chance to minimize that.

But it sure was over quick. Not the sentence of course, just the processing.

Mushrooms, is 'em like meff?

So, Terre Haute Indiana is super back woods man. Like, I'm a hillbilly and I love most other hillbillies but when they are that damn ignorant I just can't do it.

So I'm on block and my face comes on the news, talking about what I was arrested for when I hear an overwhelmingly incoherent voice say "Mushrooms, is 'em like meff?" I spelled that perfectly.

In case you're wondering, he was asking me if mushrooms are like meth.

Also, mushrooms are nothing like meth, just for the record lol.

It was at that very moment that I understood perfectly where I had just landed.

These folks weren't hillbillies. They were just plain stupid. Hillbillies are usually smart about something and that is usually why they are hillbillies. The level of ignorance among this bunch was truly mesmerizing.

Sort of like watching lemmings but more boring.

All but a couple. Clearly some of the leaders of the pack.

The strangest were the ones that were proud of how many times they had been in jail, or been in that specific jail.

I wasn't sure how to respond to people big dicking each other over how many times they had been in jail.

To me, I fucked up.

Not by having mushrooms.

By getting caught.

To me, being in jail was shameful because I fucking knew better. Hindsight was more than 20/20 on this... the signs before this happened were super clear and I was just not paying attention.

So seeing people in a pissing match over times spent in jail made me want to laugh so fucking hard...

But I held that shit in lol.

If you're curious, the record holder was a guy from one of the big meth families. Scrawny af with horns tattooed on his head. 26 times he had been in that jail (just that one).

Idk about you but that spelled narc to me. I know for certain that they would not let my ass out 25 times for anything.

The mindset in there was the most crushing. I literally saw grown men acting in ways that went out of style just after kindergarten.

Then making that a way of life.

It's almost like when the kids in Terre Haute Indiana go to open a book to learn something...

It just bursts into flames.
