My Story Pt. 1

Beginnings

It's tricky to know where to start when you're telling you're own story. Do you start in the very beginning? Like when you were born? Or maybe you start at a particular moment that sets the stage.

I figure I want my story to be a story of triumph.

So let's start from dark times and work up.

The summer of 2013.

After a string of good years up through 2012...

2013 had other things in store for my family and I.

My son had just been born in Nov the previous year and that winter in Indiana was particularly rough on the three of us.

We had already decided we wanted to move out of Indiana. Between the brutal winters and sheer lack of freedom there we decided our interracial, and inter-continental, family was best living in another part of the country and had been planning to move once it was warm enough.

I already had 2 daughters in Oregon so moving west only seemed natural.

By summer we had a little bit of money and fairly hefty bag of psychedelic mushrooms saved up...

I figure we finally have enough for the move.

Had someone we could see about unloading the rest of the mush on the way out. Little did I know he'd been arrested a couple weeks earlier and Indiana still does the "3, go free" bullshit.

For anyone unfamiliar with "3, go free"...
It's when someone gets arrested and the cops will let them narc on 3 other people so they will go free. Yet, they never really get free, cause now this person is their little bitch.
Something I learned about 3, go free in Indiana is that not only do they go free, they also get fucking paid in cash. Yep, cash.

Well, you guessed it, this guy was that little bitch.
