More Than "Just Alcoholic Drinks" - Highness & Drunkenness

It's a simple truth when I say "Taking alcohol is same as taking drugs, they just have different forms". I want to believe many especially those producing these things would agree with me on this. It's like when we have different kinds of foods that gives a particular class of food, like bread and rice giving carbohydrates but can be eaten in different ways.
Drugs are mostly in powdered or substance form while alcohol are in liquid form. If we agree both are same, they can cause the consumer to be high or drunk, then we know both are supposed to be treated same way whether one is against or for it.

I came across a young man who was like "I'll never do drugs in my life, may God forbid" and I asked him what about his smoking and alcohol drinking, how different are they from drugs? He was quiet for sometime and was like "Ahhh, it's like I'm doing drugs like this o" š we laughed over it and he went his way still drawing smokes or whatever it is from the cigar stick he had in his hands.
It's really funny how cigarettes and alcohol producers state it so clear that "Partakers are liable to die young" on their products but people still use them regardless and in the end, they cause problems for their families who try to keep them alive spending so much money.
This part of partaking in taking drugs or being addicted to alcohol is really scary to me. How do one still go ahead to do what they are so sure would harm their health in the end? Well, they say it is the power of addiction. I've seen only a few success stories in getting rid of addiction of any kind.
For me, I'm of the view that one should abstain from whatever it is that messes up with the human brain... Alcohol and drugs are some of them and the ones used mostly. I would make alcohol drinks a banned commodity if I had the power to because they are different products with same effects on their consumers.
It's surprising that the Government lets people get addicted to alcohol drinks openly while people are doing same with drugs in hiding. I believe putting a strong ban to the two will save a lot of our youths from engaging in this act through peer pressure.
I heard something funny from one of their consumers some time ago, he said and I quote "I don't smoke for fun, it's because the weather is cold" and another said he drinks to forget his sorrows even if it's for a brief moment. What I'm not clear is that, these reasons, can't they be sorted out by other means? Does it have to be by drinking alcohol or doing hard drugs?
I'll still be on my stand that it's best to put a ban on them. I know very well that there are people who know their limit and are very cautious on how they take alcohol but we can't ignore the fact that there are more people who abuse these availability and we know how bad it tells on citizens and then, on the society at large.
Putting a ban to these things will not only save lives we lose to different organs illness, we would get people finding better means to sort their problems and be more sociable as I've seen that being addicted could withdraw you from your peers or from associating with people.
We would have more sane people, more savers and more responsible citizens if these things are put to ban, limiting the partakers of it. This is just my thought though and I know even in a ban, addicts could do anything to still keep the flow with them... Too bad.
