Was this Putin's green light?

What we've witnessed today has absolutely no precedent whatsoever. So many times we've heard the expression "history in the making" and yet often, that's hyperbolic rhetoric to promote online engagement. This time though, this time its quite fitting.
Zelensky's arrival
Say what you will about the man, but for some reason this whole thing feels like got lured into a trap. Yes, he was not in his "best behavior" and I'm not going to defend his attitude, but the whole thing started with a broken left foot.

I believe one the first questions asked was not so much a question but a critique of his outfit. Either implying he doesn't respect the White House enough to wear one, or that he's just a bum. But after that, for about 40 minutes or so, Zelensky was able to keep the conversation somewhat calm.
Eventually, as we probably would expect, to honest, it devolved into shouting.
Lured and Frustrated
If you ask me, I feel like there was an intentionality behind the direction of the conversation that probably did not come from a good place.
President Trump and his VP made sure Zelensky knew who was the one "begging" who was in danger of being seeing as an ingrate.

Sadly, it worked. President Zelensky's attitude devolved, as his frustration made him raise his voice, and opened the door for the killing blow.
You ingrate!
Vicepresident Vance jumped at the opportunity. If you ask me, he's also working the 2028 angle, but that's besides the point.
You see, when Zelensky showed what can only be described as "entitlement", that gave Trump and Vance the opportunity to mop the floor with the Ukrainian leader, and then claim the higher moral ground.

It was disgusting to watch. A TV show fit for primetime, and not two politicians, two world leaders attempting to find a solution to this horrible war.
I dare to say
Putin has to be smiling today. In my view, this gave him the green light to do as he pleases. Not to say Putin needed Trump's approval, certainly not, but what transpired today might be taken as the beginning of Ukraine's surrender.
Reports that Zelensky was thrown out of the White House like a dog, are filling my feed, and as we know, we are not the only ones reading headlines.

In a million years
I never imagined the US would vote with Russia and North Korea. Alienate its neighbors and allies, to then one day invite the president of Ukraine to the White House to humiliate him in front of the world and send him home.
And it's only been a month and eight days...
