Yes! Your Treasure, Your Heart You’ve probably heard it a million times: “Follow your heart.” But, let’s be real for a second. How many of us actually stop to think about what that really means?
It’s easy to say, especially when you’re surrounded by people who seem to have it all figured out, but in reality, our hearts are a little more complicated than that. They’re full of dreams, doubts, fears, and, yes, treasures.
We often consider treasure to be something external—gold, fancy cars, the perfect Instagram vacation photos. But, truth be told, your real treasure lies within you. It’s your time, your energy, your passion—your values. What you pour your heart into is what you cherish the most. And honestly, your heart is like your bank account. What you invest in grows, right?
But it’s not always that simple, is it? Most people chase after shiny things: quick fixes, instant fame, money that “just falls into your lap.” Yet the more you chase after the superficial stuff, the more your heart gets cluttered, confused, and sometimes even lost.
Permit me to tell you something—there’s a treasure buried deep in our souls, and it’s not something you can buy or sell. It’s the quiet moments, the late-night talks, the things that make you feel "alive" when everything else feels like it’s just noise.
And honestly, it takes some a great while before they can discover what their true treasure is in life.
I think we all get caught up in this chase, at some point. The world tells us what we should want, what we should be working towards. But when was the last time you stopped and asked yourself, “Is this my treasure?”
Because, if we’re being honest, there’s no treasure more valuable than a heart that’s full of purpose and peace-And there's always something that will power that peace and sense of purpose in us. If we can find that "something" then we have found our treasure. And that kind of treasure doesn’t need to be flaunted. It doesn’t need to be flashy. It just needs to be yours.
So here’s the million-dollar question: What are you investing in? Your heart’s treasure or someone else’s idea of what your heart should be chasing?
I’ll tell you this much—once you find what truly matters, what truly triggers that peace and sense of fulfiment in you, you’ll never have to wonder where your treasure is again.
