So now it's finally happened — winter has left its mark. It was just a first taste, but even that was accompanied by anxiety and hope. Sometimes here in this region, you're suddenly faced with unexpected situations, so it's better to be prepared than to be caught off guard the next day. In the end this time it wasn't that bad yet.

Well actually, things had been looking really good in recent weeks. Autumn had lasted quite a long time, and at the transition from November to December, we were once again blessed with double-digit temperatures. Fifteen degrees and sunshine are very unusual in this part of the country at this time of year, but of course we happily accepted this wonderful gift.

Fortunately, the great weather coincided with our short trip, so we were really lucky this time and spent quite a while outside in the fresh air. I've already written a little about it, but I still have a lot of pictures and impressions that I don't want to keep from you. So there will be more to see and read later as well.

But now it's December, and in terms of weather, the next few days and weeks are going to be quite cold, wet and dark. The sun will probably only come out rarely, which unfortunately seems to be the case in every winter. Such gray weather can get you down quite a bit, but luckily another festive season is just around the corner. We are not there yet, but you can already feel a little bit of this special atmosphere. And we are more than happy to embrace it.

I'm going to hold off on the big review of the year for a little while longer, although I'm not sure whether I've achieved everything I set out to do this year. The general conditions have certainly become more challenging, which we will probably feel next year as well. That's why I still find it very difficult to make decisions and statements about my own future. But that's a topic I'd better come back to another time.

For now, let's just focus on the remaining days and weeks of this year, which are sure to bring us a few more reasons for fun and joy. And every now and then, I like to look back on what happened just a short time ago. Especially I like to look at all the beautiful colors that were shining around us. Luckily I took a lot of photos again, and I definitely should take the time to look at them more often. Just because it feels so good...
