Los patines del marciano / The Martian's skates

Una nave espacial aterrizó de afán,
parece que su motor no funcionó más,
sobre unas bananas se logró acomodar
y no hubo una explosión fatal.

De aquella nave bajó
un ser de azul color
que un nuevo medio de transporte buscó
y pensó que el limón sería buena elección.

A spacecraft landed hastily,
it seems its engine failed,
it managed to settle on some bananas
and there was no fatal explosion.

From that spacecraft descended
a being dressed in blue
who sought a new means of transportation
and thought that the lemon would be a good choice.

Pero no fue así, porque se cayó
y con prontitud se levantó
en ese instante un burro pasó
y sobre él se abalanzó.

Pero su peso era mayor
y de inmediato se cayeron los dos,
el marciano al animal levantó
para que continuará su excursión.

But that wasn't the case, because he fell down
and quickly got up
at that moment a donkey passed by
and he jumped on it.

But its weight was greater
and immediately they both fell down,
the Martian lifted the animal up
so that he could continue his excursion.

Tras un rato solos aparecieron,
unos patines color cielo,
el marciano se los puso sin miedo
y se fue sobre ellos contento.

Y cuando pensé que todo había acabado
regresó el burro despacio,
se trepó en la nave sin dudarlo
y se fue a conocer el espacio.

After a while alone, they appeared,
sky-colored skates,
the Martian put them on without fear
and happily skated away.

And just when I thought it was all over,
the donkey slowly returned,
climbed into the ship without hesitation,
and went off to explore space.
