How Coding Shapes Problem-Solving Skills in Children

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "CODING AND TECH".
Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer because it teaches you how to think."

Welcome my habitual and also new readers to my blog.
Today's topic is coding and technology.
We know how important technology is today in our world. We have most applications and things with which we relate; they work through programming.
In this sense, we know that Oracle is who has carried out the programming of all our electrical artifacts: the fridges, the smart watches, our phones, of course, the computers, the food processors, our home with all the internet of things, artifacts that are controlled by routers, wifi, modems, our televisions.
Everything has an integrated circuit that has been programmed through code. Then, coding is an extremely important part in our lives.
I give way to the first question that they propose in the community:
Should coding and programming be mandatory for each child in school?
I honestly think that it should be something very mandatory because if from an early age we get used to children developing this skill, we are going to have individuals capable of solving problems, thinking people who in the future are going to be able to bring new inventions and develop better things for our planet.
Then, if we have from an early age a child who is able to face and develop algorithmic skills, develop that ability to solve problems—that is what is taught in the first level of programming, the algorithms—that ability to understand how to solve a problem, that ability to handle if a car reaches point A, what should I do, and if a car reaches point B, what should I do.

To consider those different situations gives that ability to the child or the individual to be able to see life in a different way and learn the ability that you can always find a solution to everything.
Then, there is an alternative.
Curiously, with this of learning coding, apart from this, the individual, the student—in this case, the children—are going to learn to work organized, to have their thought in a structured and organized way.
Then, we are going to benefit too because we are going to have individuals who are more organized, who are able to structure their thought in layers or levels in an ordered way, and we are going to have people who are going to be very logical people who are and who are going to be able to make decisions based on logic and coding.
Also, with the steps so great that the world is giving at the level of technology, artificial intelligence, and all the devices and inventions that are being developed, it is evident that we are going to have a great need and a great requirement of specialists and people who know coding.
Apart from this, we are also going to need professionals and people who are able to teach coding because it will be very necessary not only to have people who code but people who are dedicated to teach this matter and specialists in this matter that educate others on how to develop their skills to always maintain the learning flow in this area so important.
I honestly believe that letting the children have the most basic knowledge of coding in early ages will help that later in the future they decide if they want to specialize or go deeper into this exciting world, as it happened in my case that from an early age seduced me the idea of teaching or asking a computer to do things for me or learn from robotics.
I think many children feel fascination and interest in that, and I think this teaching it from an early age is a quite interesting factor so that later, as I have been saying, the child later said if you really want to learn more about this or specialize in this matter, as they do, for example, in Japan, that I had been commenting on previous publication that children enter a learning stage after learning the basic values such as family, economics, and other things that serve them for life.

And I honestly believe—I don't know if in Japan they do it, but I think so—that children must learn programming and coding from an early age.
This will bring more benefits than prejudice, and of course, respecting the time and learning and the levels of learning each one and without forcing anyone to learn something they don't like or that does not attract attention.
In this sense, as I mentioned to several community colleagues, I think it is very important also to make the learning entertaining and fun because so the child or the individual student will be able to capture more easily the learning.
Remember that the brain is stimulated when you learn something new; when the learning process becomes routine, the neurons or the brain begins to wear out by that routine, and the learning capacity, let's say that it is limited.
And this has been proven in studies that have been carried out recently.
Then, we are all going to stimulate our brain creating new challenges that are entertaining so that our brain learns new things, and let's go to be able to memorize new things, and we can have better skills.
So all in Hive learners, we will learn more and more.
Thanks for visiting me, and have a good day.
