What's up, Hivers? It's makiyumee here! How are you? I hope you're doing fine and in a good mood. Alright, so in my last blog, I finally got enrolled as a 4th year college student. But the adventure does not end there because right after my enrollment, I didn't go home yet for like I said, enrollment is not only registering yourself as a student at that school, it also means catching up with your friends and that is what this blog right now is all about. So stay with me until the end for I will now tell you how my day went after my enrollment. Let's go!

After I was enrolled, I got back to my seat as I waited for my friends to finish. The line was beginning to get longer, and the process was also getting more complex, but my friends waited for their turn patiently and so did I. While I sat on my seat, I talked with some of my classmates and it's actually very refreshing to see new faces rather than seeing the face of my stubborn sister every day (just kidding though) inside our house. As I continued to talk with my classmates, I heard a lot of news and I couldn't help but feel worried, happy, and well…it was mix of emotions since they were rambling here and there, and I don't know which to focus on to.

Soon, when all of my friends were done with their enrollment, we all decided to have lunch together since it's been a while since we last ate together. All of us walked out of the campus, our steps in unison with a sense of relief that we were finally done after the long enrollment process. The sun was already at its peak and the heat was starting to hurt our skin but none of it mattered as we all walked together under the sun with big smiles and loud laughs. As we were walking, the conversation naturally went to flashbacks of our third year in college. Each of us became involved to the trip down memory lane by painting vivid memories of our shared occurrences.

When we got to the side of the road, my friends hired a tricycle to ride towards our next destination while I decided to ride on my other friend's motorcycle. We made our way to one of the restaurants where we usually ate, and it was beside the 7/11 in Medellin. We ordered friend chickens, puso and of course, soft drinks and water. After paying for our meal, we ate in one table as we continued to talk about the things that we did before.

We even talked about how the upcoming third year students should watch out on these certain teachers if they want to have a passing grade for that course. We couldn't help but compare the past and the present as we ate our food.

When we were done, we all decided to walk back and go to one of my friends' house, which was a good hour's walk from the restaurant. We walked and digested our food in the processed and as we walked while resuming our conversation, time seemed to pass by in a flash because in a moment, we were already in front of my friend's house.

We rested there as we calmed our thumping hearts that raced like horses after walking under the heat of the sun. We also refreshed ourselves with cold water and the cold air from the electric fan. Soon, all of us felt the tiredness getting the best of us and then we all feel asleep. The peace enveloping the whole house and the soreness of our bodies after the long walk made us fall into slumber in a few seconds. It was around 3 in the afternoon when we all woke up from our short rest and came to a decision to accompany one of my friends to find a gown for a coronation night that she was going to attend soon.

At full force (not by power though, we were just a complete circle), we accompanied our friend towards this shop that was renting gowns near the market. We helped my friend choose a gown for her—of course, most of the time was just teasing each other on which gown would fit us and trust me, the gowns we all chose for each other made us look funny. I swear my friends are a bunch of clowns, they always make fun of whoever they target with their jokes. But that's what's great about spending time with them because they always have the best kind of humor.

When we finally got a pretty gown for our friend, we then walked back and went to the center Medellin where most of the shops are established. Some of us got hungry after choosing some gowns and they all wanted to eat burgers and have some milk tea, so I went with them because I got hungry too.

We passed by a large water tank as we continued to walk towards our destination and when we arrived at Nicey, which was the nearest burger station, we each bought a set of burgers and paid for it.

The lady gladly cooked our order and while we waited, we all thought about what milk tea flavor we were going to buy. The downgrade version at Artea was always our go-to order and so we all ordered our milk teas and after the barista made our teas, he thanked all of us and gave us our order.

I quickly sipped my drink, my pulse racing with excitement. As I put the straw to my lips, the familiar and comfortable scents of tea and Ube greeted me, filling my senses with a rich, robust aroma. The purple liquid came in contact with my taste buds, and I could feel my eyes sparkling with joy as the beverage evoked a sense of warmth and longing that made me smile in contentment. Nothing beats a good food after getting hungry during a long walk. We all enjoyed our snacks as we accompanied it with some inside jokes and conversations that seemed to go on for longer than I could imagine.

The sun was slowly setting and disappearing in the clear sky, while so were our burgers and milk teas. After we ate, we all walked towards the area where we always wait for the bus going home and when my bus arrived, I waved and said my goodbyes to them as I boarded the bus with a satisfied smile on my face.

Spending time with our friends after not seeing them for a long is really an amazing feeling and I hope you find it the same too. Well, my blog ends here, and I hope you had fun reading it. See you all on the next one!
