Hello Hive World, this is @mairaj.ansari from Karachi, Pakistan.

This Google Photos always keep the memories alive. So, year 2017, it was the same monsoon season here in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. On a lovely weekend, me and office colleagues went on to explore Haleji Lake about 50 Kms from Karachi. It was a long anticipitated plan, maybe planned for almost two months in advance. With alot of changes, different comments, demands, voting amongst us for certain things, I mean a continuous discussion all along. To cut the story short, we finally gathered in our office near the Karachi Airport, took some snacks, drinks, marinated meat (for barbecue) and started our journey.

The drive on the National Highway always feels great. We left the Highway a bit earlier and got ourselves into a small village. Late nighft, about 2 AM on the clock, and we are in an unknown village 🥶. The road there was too narrow, I mean only one vehicle could pass at once. We all were afraid, but the most senior of us, Mr. Basharat was near to being out cold, of the fear, and guest what? he was driving one of the cars 😅. It was a dark night, with no lights in that village except those of our cars'. I must tell you such areas were not supposed to be safe even in the days, leave alone the nights 🌃. Anyhow, praying for our safe exit from there, we somehow found a little space to turn around our cars, and raced back to the highway like someone is chasing us 😅😅. That was one great adventure. Not much of that I could captur on my phone but yes, as we came close to the lake, we had to pass through someting like this....

🤣🤣😅😅🤣, I mean what could be more interesting in the very start of your exploration? a broken bridge? this is none other than my dear friend Mr. @rosecane pointing towards the damage.

We never knew, there was a wildlife sanctuary built by WWF (World Wild Federation). And it was also named Haleji Wildlife Sanctuary.

Most of the cages were empty, but we managed to find one 🤪, a croc in one cage. I am sharing the picture, it can be seen behind me.

We reached there at about 3:30 AM. And kept cheering about what happened on the way till early morning. At 6, we set up fire for our barbrcue. Enjoyed the delight with beautiful scenes of sunrise.

One more thing, I would like to share. A friend amogst us is fond of fishing. So he came up with a gear to catch fish.....

Well, he couldn't catch anything..... and what did that mean?? more fun 🤣🤣😅. I mean that little journey, is one to be remembered for long.

I am a foody, but I believe travelling and going to new places always bring good change for yourself.

Thank you for reading my post. Please share in the comments how did you find it.

All pictures were taken by me and belong to me
