An unforgettable weekend experience: my first visit to the circus.

Hello dear friends from #weekendexperiences, today I come to share this beautiful experience that I recently lived, something that has always caught my attention since I was a child, but for various reasons I never had the opportunity to enjoy. I'm referring to seeing a circus and experiencing that moment firsthand, up close, far from the coldness of screens.
This Saturday, I received an invitation from a friend to visit her in her city, which I accepted without thinking twice since it had been a while since I last visited her. So, I packed some of my things and headed to the terminal where I would catch transportation to go. Upon arrival, she was waiting for me, and we spent some time at a café before going to her house. There, she told me that in the afternoon, she would take me to a place she knew I would love. She kept me in suspense until the afternoon when, to my surprise, she told me we were going to the downtown theater. I thought it was fantastic because I’m passionate about theater, but my surprise was even greater when we arrived and I saw that the performance was by young circus artists. I almost cried and couldn't do anything but hug her, hahaha..
As I entered, I couldn’t contain my excitement. She is one of the few people who knew about my love for the circus. The first thing we saw was the artists' performance. Then, a trapeze artist appeared, moving through the ropes and the air as if floating in an eternal dance, with gravity as their lover, unable to resist them.
The performance of this young artist, moving in sync with a beautiful melody that filled the air throughout the theater, was something I will never forget.
Then the juggler took the stage, skillfully using juggling clubs and performing incredible maneuvers. If someone had told me about it, I wouldn't have believed them, but he did things I would call impossible. If I hadn't asked my friend to pinch me, I would say it was all a dream. Yet, I think I'll keep it in my heart as a dreamlike experience.
Also, while the first performer was juggling, a clown appeared to cause trouble and annoy him, but he didn't succeed because the juggler had an ironclad focus. However, the clown was spectacular, getting more than a few laughs from everyone in the audience.
Then another clown made an entrance, and they started playing with the audience, calling several children and even some adults to the stage. In doing so, they gave us another round of laughter.
I would love to share more about this experience, but I didn’t take many pictures because I was so absorbed in the whole show. There were also some contortionists, a dancer who used a hula hoop like a goddess, and another couple performing dangerous stunts. However, the only thing I could complain about was something I waited for all night—the magician. For me, it’s inconceivable to have a circus without a magician, but one never appeared.
I think if I had been closer, I would have asked to go on stage and do something to represent the magician. On the way out, I couldn’t resist asking why they didn’t have one, and they told me the position was vacant. That encouraged me to ask if they were holding auditions, and they said yes! So, I will be auditioning soon for the place of honor. 😍🎩🪄
