The Truman Show

Hi friends. After a very apt recommendation from a friend, I came across the movie The Truman Show. In this short post I will share my impressions of this film.

The first thought that occurred to me. "Damn, I'm definitely the same." This thought arose in relation to the fact that there are feelings that this world really revolves around me. In the same way, when I get close to breaking out of my closed circle (samsara or the Truman show), I encounter the same tremendous resistance as before.

If you take life, from the point of view of the goal to get out of the endless cycles of rebirth, then the Truman show can be seen as a kind of hint on how to do it. Do not think, I am not calling you to any actions. This is another observation of mine that is very obvious after watching the film.

In addition, there is a lot of symbolism in the film. From the lantern of Sirius, which falls from no one knows where, almost on his head

and to the exit into the darkness, through a door resembling the entrance to a cave...

Well, for me personally, this movie served as the last signal to break out of my show. You can't wait until it's over, covid, war and what's next. It is necessary to plan and implement changes.

Привіт друзі. Після дуже влучної рекомендації від друга я натрапив на фільм Шоу Трумена. В цьому короткому пості я поділюсь враженнями про цей фільм.

Коротко про сам фільм:

«Шоу Трумена» (англ. The Truman Show) — американський сатиричний фільм 1998 року з Джимом Керрі у головній ролі. На 1 березня 2024 року фільм займав 140-ву позицію у списку 250 кращих фільмів за версією IMDb

Цей фільм можна назвати дуже старим фільмом. В 2023 році йому виповнилось аж 25 років. Не дивлячись на свій вік, фільм продовжує перебувати в списках найцікавіших та найкращих фільмів.

Сюжет фільму, та інші деталі про фільм, Ви зможете прочитати у Вікіпедії чи інших сторінках. Я ж хочу поділитись своїми думками та асоціаціями, що викликав у мене цей фільм. Чесно. Так, як є.

Першою думкою, яка виникла в мене. «Блін, в мене ж точно все так само». Ця думка виникла стосовно того, що трапляються відчуття, що цей світ дійсно крутиться навколо мене. Точно так само, коли я наближаюсь до виходу із свого замкненого кола (сансари чи шоу трумена), я стикаюсь з таким же колосальним супротивом як і раніше.

Якщо взяти життя, з точки зору цілі вийти з некінчених циклів переродження, то шоу Трумена можна розцінювати як своєрідну підказку, як це зробити. Не подумайте, я не закликаю Вас до будь-яких дій. Це ще одне моє спостереження яке ну дуже очевидне після перегляду фільму.

Крім того, у фільмі дуже багато символізму. Від ліхтаря Сіріуса, що звалюється невідомо звідки, ледь не на голову

і до виходу в темряву, через двері, що нагадують вхід до печери…

Ну, і особисто для мене, це фільм послужив останнім сигналом того, що треба вириватись із свого шоу. Не можна чекати поки закінчиться, ковід, війна і що там далі. Треба вже планвати та здійснювати зміни.

Ось така от чесна думка про фільм.
