Butterfly of Transformation 🦋

I created this digital and drawing collage artwork titled “Butterfly of Transformation.” Creating art by imagining a transformation into a butterfly. Thinking about the challenges and experiences from my past. Also reflecting on the strengths and qualities I have now. Even though it is just a simple artwork, it was tough for me to imagine at first, but once I started making the artwork, I was able to focus on creative mode. I imagined my hopes and dreams for the future through the butterfly.

I generated the background image using AI, then edited it, changed the colours, and added some digital images. Then, I drew the butterfly using digital colouring and inserted some digital images on its wings.

The left wing and the right wing are slightly connected because my past and future are connected, even though my past was difficult. The left ones are my past, and the right ones are my future. That is why the left and right wings share the same colours. The bright colours reflect my strength. Although my past experiences were very tough and difficult, and made it hard for me to exist.

Inside the body of the butterfly, there is nature. The left wing contains the tough side of nature and blue flowers. On the right wing, there is still some strict, harsh nature, but there is also much more healing nature.

Gentleness and calmness will support me peacefully in the future. Living my life gently will continue to support my future. Even though I tried to draw the dark side on the left, it actually became beautiful. I realized that my darkness is also a part of the beauty of my life. If I were to give a name to this butterfly, I would immediately call it “Hope.”

🦋変容の蝶々

「変容の蝶々」 というタイトルの、デジタルと絵を組み合わせたコラージュ作品を作りました。蝶へと変容する姿を想像しながら作ります。過去の自分が経験してきた困難や出来事について考え、同時に、今の自分を形づくっている強さや資質についても振り返っていきます。シンプルですが、最初はイメージすることが簡単ではありませんでした。でも、一旦作り始めると、自然と創作モードに集中することができました。蝶を通して、未来への希望や夢を思い描きました。

背景のイメージはAIで生成し、その後、色を調整したり編集を加え、いくつかのデジタル素材を組み合わせました。そして、蝶はデジタルで手描きし、羽の中にデジタルイメージを加えました。

左右の羽は意味合いがつながっています。左の羽が過去で右が未来です。過去がどんなに困難であっても、私の過去と未来はつながっているからです。そのため、左右の羽には同じ色を使っています。明るい色は、自分の内にある強さを表しています。
過去の経験はとても厳しく、生きること自体が難しく感じられるほどでしたが、それも私の一部です。

蝶の体の中には自然があります。左の羽には、厳しさを持つ自然と青い花が描かれています。右の羽にも、まだ厳しくて強い自然の要素はありますが、より多くの癒しの自然が存在しています。これからの未来では、優しさと穏やかさが、静かに私を支えてくれると感じています。

穏やかに生きることが、これからの人生を支え続けてくれるのだと感じます。左側に暗さを描こうとしましたが、なんだか結果的に美しいものになりました。自分の中の陰の部分もまた、人生の美しさの一部なのだと気づきました。もしこの蝶に名前をつけるとしたら、迷わず 「Hope（希望）」 と名付けます。
