Episode 11 Summary 🎮

Not kidding… Repeat… NOT kidding. I really did meet the legendary Pokémon trainer Red!!!!! And here’s how it all happened.

Everything started while I was exploring Alisio City. I tried entering the Alisio Resthouse, when a kid charged out of the door and challenged me to a battle! Of course I said yes, and he was actually pretty tough! After the battle, he introduced himself as Vermillion, a kid who came all the way from Kanto to the Cerifa Region. He then invited me upstairs to meet his grandpa…

I accepted, entered the resthouse, and on the top floor I was greeted by some familiar faces: my rival Gala, Apolo’s wife Vera, Vermillion… and his grandpa. But he wasn’t just any grandpa. Guess who he was?

That’s right! The one and only Red, the legendary Pokémon trainer along with his old faithful companion Pikachu!

I was getting goosebumps just being in the same room with Red, but Vera went full fangirl mode and started throwing questions at him left and right! Of course, Red being Red, all he said was “…”, then ran off to escape from Vera hahahaha.

After that funny moment, Gala suggested we go visit the local cemetery. We met up there and headed to the lower grounds… and then something amazing happened. While we were observing some ancient shaman art, me and Gala were transported into a parallel universe, and in front of us stood a mysterious Legendary Pokémon!

I've actually been to this strange world before in an earlier episode, and now everything starts to make sense. The Legendary Pokémon asked for our help again, warning us about an upcoming disaster. Then boom! We were back at the cemetery!

But the adventure didn’t end there. Suddenly, we were jumped by a horde of Dusclops! And guess who showed up to save us?! Red and his Pikachu, blasting Thunderbolt and chasing the ghosts away like a total legend. Iconic moment!

After that, we all regrouped, had a short chat, and I said goodbye before heading to my next stop... the creepy Indigo Forest.

I saved the game as soon as I made it there, and took a moment to appreciate the story of Pokémon Opalo. This game has everything! From deep lore and alternate dimensions to politics, racism, and economic struggles. Solid 10/10.

Expect a ton of action next time as we explore Indigo Forest… but until then, enjoy this episode and as always…
